Clearly female only boxing is. But if you include Trans identified males it's no longer single sex. And you immediately fail the test.

One TERF complained that, theoretically, a trans person could take part in this course. As a result, the entire course has been shut down. Just another example of transphobia harming women

The default under the EA is that excluding someone from a service/space because of their sex is unlawful discrimination. You have to have a specific reason to do so, a proportionate means & legitimate aim.

@adamndsmith @SVPhillimore @Sorelle_Arduino Apparently you wouldn't though. And neither would this King's Trust Charity. A girl or young woman who doesn't identify as female isn't eligible. But a 25-year-old man who identifies as female is welcome to box against a 16-year-old girl.

All the complaints were rejected at first triage by the BBC. The response itself is biased by maintaining the pretence that Connell is female. The BBC Complaints Unit is as much a problem as Woman’s Hour. There are a couple of sensible people there but it’s run on the principle of affirmation. It’s a lot of effort to go through all the BBC stages to get to the ECU but you can make it easier by not overthinking each fresh progression of your complaint. If you work on the basis that it will be rejected (which it will be) it’s faster, and you can save your energy for the final go at the Executive Complaints Unit. Remember that there was a response like this rejecting the initial flood of complaints about Martine Croxall saying pregnant people are women. That was overturned when 20 people pursued it all the way to the ECU. This response isn’t the end of it. Women yelling at a man in the ladies because he's invading their privacy. Men beating up a man in the men's because they don't like what he's wearing. These are two very different kinds of actions. All the social pressure to change is currently on the people acting reasonably.
