The ship the U.S. seized in the Strait of Hormuz this weekend was headed from China to Iran and is linked to chemical shipments for missiles. It refused repeated orders to stop. Another reminder that China is helping prop up Iran’s regime—a reality that can’t be ignored.

Most of the people who supposedly left the GOP over norms and decency and threats to democracy, are going to stand by quietly and obediently as the Democratic Party officially embraces Nazi-tattooed candidates, literal communists, and Hezbollah-supporting antisemites.

Only one chance in this lifetime… Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him. I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

Turns out that Zohran Mamdani’s rationale for opening a public grocery store is a bogus statistic nobody bothered to check

In 2021 our portfolio company Fridge No More raised $19M and opened 49 stores in NYC, employed 300 people and was able to deliver goods to your door in under 15 minutes, paying above minimum wage to couriers (they were actually so happy with their jobs they offered to work for free when the company couldn’t get funding). Unlike Mamdani’s store they had to pay rent and taxes. This is $387K per store including all the R&D, CapEX, and a central processing facility. Somehow when a socialist politician is trying to do that it’s 100x more and takes 3 years. Remember my words it will not end at $30M. Very soon they’ll ask for more.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani that the first city-owned grocery store – which carries a whopping $30 million expected price tag – won’t open until 2029. trib.al/zJEMm8D

@ewarren Except that wealth is now doing more to raise the living standards of the poor and middle classes under private ownership than it will if confiscated by government. Your plan is not only bad economics, but it's also immoral and unconstitutional.

This is complete nonsense. These posts are exhausting because they are made by people who don’t even understand the basics. Kushner/Witkoff reportedly offered Iran for us to provide them already enriched uranium from outside Iran for peaceful purpose, not for them to have unlimited enrichment themselves. This is the same exact position the entire Trump admin has. The Islamic Republic said no. Why would they say no to an outside country providing as much low enriched uranium as they want for free? Because it comes with the condition they can’t enrich themselves to levels needed for a nuclear bomb, which is clearly their real intent. It’s like them saying they want guns for hunting because they want meat and then rejecting receiving unlimited meat without the guns. It’s probably because their interest really isn’t in the meat.
Brian Allen@allenanalysis

🚨BOMBSHELL: Fox News just exposed the fracture inside Trump’s Iran negotiating team. Jared Kushner — the man whose fund took $2 billion from Saudi Arabia — secretly offered Iran unlimited uranium enrichment for peaceful use. JD Vance, currently in the air to Pakistan, is demanding zero enrichment. Same administration. Same negotiating team. Completely opposite positions.

If you're on Medi-Cal (California's name for Medicaid), not only do you get free healthcare and likely also get SSI and SNAP and EITC credits, you also have the power to enrich a family member or friend with $72000 a year at taxpayer expense. For the latter, you just need to be over 65 or be able to claim you're disabled. AND THE PERSON WHO MAKES $72,000 TAKING CARE OF YOU CAN STILL QUALIFY FOR MEDICAID benefits. It's literally welfare inception. Welfception.

This influencer claims she can collect $6k/mo from the State of California to "stay home and protect [her] autistic child." The IHSS program has become a shadow UBI system—and costs California $30 billion per year. "You have to do it! You gotta do it!"

EXCLUSIVE: California spends $30 billion per year paying 800,000 people to cook, clean, shop, and watch television with family members and others. This "in-home care" program operates mostly on the honor system—and loses $6 to $12 billion a year to fraud. city-journal.org/article/califo…

A Trump insider opened a $51,000,000 oil short position — hours before Trump announced a ceasefire with Iran. This guy is now 16 for 16. $170 million in profit. A perfect streak. This is not a talented trader. "We placed the bet." "The ceasefire dropped." "We cashed out." Sixteen times in a row. That is not skill. That is not instinct. That is not research. That is someone who knows what is coming before it comes. Think about what that actually means. A private individual is placing a $51 million bet that oil prices are about to collapse — hours before a sitting president announces a ceasefire that collapses oil prices. Not once. Sixteen times. Zero losses. There are only two explanations and both should terrify you. Either someone inside the White House — or with direct access to it — is leaking ceasefire negotiations to traders before diplomats, before the press, before the American people hear a single word. That is insider trading. That is corruption. That is a federal crime. Or the timing of the announcement itself is being shaped around the trade. Which is worse. This is not a genius investor who reads the news faster than you do. The news hadn't happened yet. He wasn't reading the news. He was getting a phone call. While Americans were watching the ceasefire announcement and feeling relieved — somebody already knew. Somebody had already bet $51 million on it. And somebody was already counting their winnings. You are not watching a free market. You are watching a White House with a side hustle. Via~ Really American
