I've been trying to think of all the dodgy things I know about Mo Farah. Please help me out if I've missed anything. (Thread)

A piece about the complicated and controversial life and times of Mo Farah, who I first met when he was 16, and the challenges of reporting on that, fairly and accurately, in the face of PRs and lawyers sportingintelligence832.substack.com/p/mo-farah-a-c…

‘Sir Mo’ lied about his name, he lied about his backstory, he continuously lied about his relationships with doping coaches, he lied about L-Carnitine, he lied about his doorbell, why wouldn’t he lie to his chief shoelace tier Barry Fudge?

Barry Fudge, physiologist and former UK Athletics head of endurance, says Mo Farah’s victories were due to meticulous planning, hard work and determination as opposed to "some magical drug or illicit aid". ✍️ @Jason_AW 📸 @AthleticsImages athleticsweekly.com/athletics-news…

Why does nobody report on the fact that Farah was being massively target-tested by the IAAF during his time with Salazar? 73 separate blood tests by the end of 2015. 👀 That's 3x more than any other athlete under suspicion at the time. Why were Farah's blood readings so concerning to the IAAF?

@ORION_coaching Salazar and Fudge masterminded Farah's weight loss, which was the secret to his medal-winning. Nothing to do with L-Carnatine or stuff like that.

@ORION_coaching So, according to Barry Fudge, Farah was almost a stone over his optimal weight in 2010, this being a major factor in why he wasn't a world-beater. On the left is Mo in 2010. On the right is Mo in 2016. Anyone seeing a noticeable difference? 🤔

“Skeptics whispered that Mo’s success must be due to some magical drug or illicit aid. But there was no magic – only an unwavering commitment to consistency and excellence.” - Barry Fudge on Farah's winning formula 👇 athleticsweekly.com/athletics-news…

@MoDoorbell Unfathomable Rise.. Putting aside the 28 second improvement in under 2yrs 4:16 to 3:52 (34+secs from NCAA time) is one thing. [She only reached the Qlympic Qualification Time in late May-June] BUT. THEN managed to knock 10 seconds off her time in less than 3 months! Explain?

I’m thinking about becoming a Georgia Bell bullshit account. Sticking with the bell theme.
