🇺🇸 My campaign kickoff presentation. ⛔️We are in a state of crisis in the county with a failed and incompetent council @MoCoCouncilMD that continues to ignore residents' problems and simple asks. ⛔️Incumbent Dawn Luedtke @dawn_luedtke has failed as a council member and she's part of the reason we're in the situation we're in: crime out of hand, the economy in recession, the Airpark sucking millions from us, the taxpayers, and polluting our air and directly affecting our standard of living. How are your property taxes or your utility bills? 🇺🇸 My plan will address these and many issues by: 🔺Auditing county government finances for the last 10 years. 🔺Creating a MoCo DOGE to find wasteful spending. 🔺Freezing property taxes for 2 years. 🔺Working with PEPCO and WSSC to freeze/reduce water and electricity rates. 🔺Taking MoCo DOGE to the Airpark and find where the $30 million have gone and reject the planned tower proposal. 🔺Reestablishing close relationship with federal agencies (FAA, EPA, DHS, FBI). 🔺Improve the investment environment to attract investment (remove useless regulations). 🔺Refocusing manpower over tech for the police department. 🇺🇸We have a chance to start fixing our county with reasonable, common sense policies that will address our issues immediately. 🇺🇲 Crime: Not surprised at all. 🚔 I've been saying this for years that crime statistics are being fabricated. This is done by jurisdictions that are run by democrats. ⛔️ This is pure propaganda to push the narrative that democrats in office are pushing policies to address rising crime. ❌️ Look what we have here. @dawn_luedtke gaslighting the public about crime decreasing. 🇺🇸 Affordability: Montgomery County homeowners are getting hit again. 🆘 County residents this week received their property tax bill and it went up by an average of $2,000, thanks in large part to the County Council voting to eliminate the $692 Income Tax Offset Credit that owner-occupied homeowners have relied on for years. 🆘 The result, hundreds of dollars more out of your family's budget before you even pay your mortgage. ❌ If you didn't know, @dawn_luedtke, along 5 other councilmembers voted to eliminate the credit. 🇺🇸 Airpark Safety: The story continues with yet another incident in less than a month. 🚨The emergency landing at the Montgomery County Airpark should alarm every resident. We were fortunate this incident did not end in tragedy, but luck is not a safety strategy. 🛩️ Residents living by the #Airpark continue to raise concerns about safety to deaf ears from @dawn_luedtke who is more concern about saying she and @GovWesMoore are close. 🛩️Residents deserve to know whether the governing bodies responsible for the Airpark will ever do anything to address their concerns as the current state of affairs points to continued unresponsiveness from them. ❌Councilmember Dawn Luedtke should be leading on this issue but instead she has ignored the many calls, emails, and concerns from residents for the last 4 years. 🇺🇲 Airpark: Things keep getting worse...a plane crash with three deaths. ❌️ .@dawn_luedtke's incompetence is catching up to reality. 🛩️Lack of flight safety oversight. 🛩️Flight schools operating without proper oversight. 🛩️Luedkte completely ignores safety concerns residents constantly bring forward. ❌ Luedtke serves on the committee with oversight of the Montgomery County Revenue Authority, which manages Montgomery County Airpark. 🛑 How many more lives have to perish under Dawn Luedtke?
