I'm hiring my next Chief of Staff. LaunchGood is an amanah I've carried for 13 years — nearly $1 billion raised, over 2 million donors, 155 countries. Now I'm looking for the person who helps carry what's next. You'd be in the room for the hardest calls and in the trenches the rest of the time. Non-negotiable: you're AI-first. Not curious — fluent Also excited to travel, typically once a month internationally, and passionate about uplifting the Ummah without being ignorant of the challenges that come with such work LaunchGood.com/Careers ps - bonus if you're willing to move to Detroit and work next to me pps - I'll be at ICNA this Saturday if you're interested in meeting in person

I grew up thinking Islam was anti-sleep. I'd read verses about people who "abandon their beds, invoking their Lord with hope and fear" (Qur'an 32:16) and think: to be a better Muslim, I need to give up sleep. I'd read about the Prophet's ﷺ night prayer, and feel it was impossible to emulate. A friend of mine once told me: "If you can manage your sleep, you can manage your life." That made me want to understand, study and experiment with sleep, so I could stand in prayer at night, wake for Fajr with ease, and still manage my other responsibilities. What surprised me along the way is that there are things we can do on a practical day to day level (most of them are very prophetic) that can help us rise up with sleep for both worship and life. Alhamdulillah, this Saturday I'm running a live 2-hour masterclass called "Barakah in Sleep" where I'll share what I've learned over the years. We'll cover the science, the Sunnah, and the practical plan you can build around your sleep, even in these tough summer days when Isha is late and Fajr is super early. If waking for Fajr has been a battle this season, this is for you. Details and registration: programs.productivemuslim.com/barakah-in-sle…

Free the Taraweeh! We come to taraweeh to pray, not pay What if we could find the win-win? Mosques still able to raise their needed funds, and congregants get to pray peacefully? A little effort I vibe-coded with the team, spread the word! FreeTheTaraweeh.com 🤝

Looking to release a “Ramadan wrapped” for your donations on @LaunchGood this Ramadan, what should we call it? (Similar to our “LaunchGood Deeds” we do at end of Hijri year)

Every now and then you come across a simple piece of tech that actually makes a BIG difference... I've been using the @livebricked device for a few weeks now, and I've appreciated the power of putting physical friction to manage distractions. When I tap my phone to it, it blocks all apps except a few (or allows all apps except the super distracting ones depending on the mode you set). If I want to 'unbrick' my device I have to tap my phone to it again. That simple physical friction has made a HUGE difference to my focus (and it's far better than 'screen time limit'). I ended up getting two of these devices, one for my office and the other for home. I've created different 'brick' modes that allow/block apps, for example, I have Quran mode so that I don't mindlessly scroll my phone when I'm reciting Quran, and Writing mode so I'm not tempted to go down a youtube rabbit hole during my writing sessions, or a Family Time mode, when I come home and don't want the phone to get between me and my kids. My favorite mode is Wind Down mode. I've scheduled it so that it kicks in 45-mins before bedtime and I have found myself reading more before bed than usual. Why does this matter? Because every time we mindlessly check our phone, there's a huge cost to our focus, meaningful connections, and spirituality. This device has helped me create space for what actually matters. Here's an affiliate link if you're interested to get one for yourself: getbrick.app/MOHAMMED91701

It's often said that the more you learn, the more you realize how much you don't know. I guess that's true with my journey trying to understand productivity from a spiritual/faith perspective. Shared some of these learnings with my friend Iqbal Nasim on his podcast "In Good Faith". We discussed: 1. Why I've turned against 5-year plans and vision boards (and what I focus on instead) 2. The difference between "hustle culture" and "Barakah culture" 3. Why I stopped wearing a watch and my fight against the "tyranny of the mechanical clock" 4. Why I encourage people to set their annual intentions in Ramadan, not January 1st 5. What it might look like to run a business without OKRs and outcome-focused metrics Would love to hear which of these resonates with you, or which one you disagree with! youtu.be/TalrtWdMtew?si… via @YouTube

My first read of 2026. This is a brilliant book. How to move from "Hustle Culture" to "Blessed Culture", the Barakah Culture. If you are looking to transform your work or business and do something with purpose; building wealthy while serving and connecting to a higher power. This is the book you need to read. I was fascinated to learn, the Author, Mohammed Faris @MohammedAFaris has Tanzanian and Yemen background.

my father in law passed recently. i watched his clothes get donated to refugees who needed them. his wealth passed to his family. we buried him, prayed for him, then left to go back to our lives while he made the transition to the next. his wife and kids were at his bedside as he took his last breath, telling him they were pleased with him. at his funeral, person after person told me about the impact he had on their lives. how he mentored them. how he shaped who they became. i'm one of those people. the Prophet (peace be upon him) said the wisest people remember death often and prepare for it with good deeds. i used to think that was heavy. now i think it's the lightest way to live. you can't take anything with you but how you lived and the deeds you did, those follow you to the grave.

I have been reading The Afterlife Manual by @AlshurafaOusama and The Barakah Effect by @MohammedAFaris in tech, things move really really fast and sometimes it's easy to lose perspective on the bigger picture highly recommend both of these books they will show you how to stay grounded when there's a tornado outside
