@klepka07 Not me as I still live with my mother. But I heard my brother's friend was kicked out of the house when he turned 18. It was some decades ago in Canada. I think he's doing fine for himself.

@tanpukunokami As a Type O, I would like to have a third arm. It would make things more convenient.
English

In Japan, one of the first things people ask you is: "What's your blood type?"
Not for medical reasons. They think it reveals your personality.
A = perfectionist
B = selfish
O = chill
AB = weirdo
Zero scientific evidence. But it shows up in job interviews, dating profiles, and morning TV.
Meanwhile, most Americans don't even know their own blood type.
It's not science. It's Japan's unofficial religion.

@Sola_Requiem Orthodox are still brothers in Christ, not Muslim. She's not 'betraying' her ethnicity and ancestors. She's still a sister in Christ. What are you on about? Your hatred is misdirected.
English

Asqueroso traidor a tu raza. Nuestros ancestros lucharon contra la horda musulmana para reconquistar España como tierra católica, ¿y tú les pagas así?

@sappholives83 Ok and? That statue is not sentient and neither is it a victim. It's a statue. That's it.
English

@NoContextBrits It honestly looks fine to me. I've eaten this back in the UK.
English

@oelma__ Huh. I oddly ate this while I was in the UK. Very nostalgic I would call it.
English

@TheLaurenChen I do too. Just... not some extreme ones like what is happening with Britain when they're letting in immigrants from Pakistan with extreme Islamic views. Even the UAE is banning their students from studying in the UK for fear of being radicalized by these groups.
English

@Gondolinhrim @Strangeland_Elf And she's saying that to a group of man-eating mimics. Yes, demons mimic human appearances and behaviors for the sole purpose of ambushing them to eat them. There are mimic predators in nature too. Why are you trying to anthropomorphize a species who aren't human?
English

@Strangeland_Elf Having your hero say "Your species can never live in peace" isn't a good look no matter how you slice it.
English

Found one of the racist idiots who thinks actual monsters that learned human speech and in order to bait humans, whose bodies disappear when they die unlike the actual races of elves and dwarves and humans, are a parallel for some actual race of people.
AniCritic@Noonevipk
These “terrible people” of the left don’t like it when Frieren spouts this nonsense towards a sentient and sapient people group that just so happen to mostly look like humans 🤔
English

@MiddleEarth_xD He played the movie version of Aragorn well, but I wonder how well he could portray the book Aragorn who is both proud of his heritage and his lineage, strong, has some self doubt during Amon Hen, and his goal to become King of the Reunited Kingdom to marry Arwen.

@hotahotasa45082 Ramen. Very delicious broth. The broth makes the dish.
English

@learning_yohei Where's Bleach in this? That was popular back in the day and my favorite anime.
English

@LaRanaGitana Because they're indoctrinated to hate anything in the Western sphere. And they don't understand Islam and refuse to learn about it because of the image they have of it in their mind. They just want to stick it to the West and those inclined more to traditional western values.
English

@Whyman5Whyman @Strangeland_Elf You're putting your own twist into it. Stop trying to anthropomorphize demons because they don't have human rationality nor their processes. They're mimics and ambush predators with the sole intention of tricking humans to eat them.
English

@Strangeland_Elf Freiren explicitly states that humans and demons can’t live together, so the obvious metaphorical take away is that some groups of humans can’t live together because of irreconcilable differences
English

The point is there isn’t a racial metaphor with the demons in Frieren. If any metaphor exists it is more likely about how connection is what separates humanity from monster.
Michael Whyman (ミカリウィマノ)@Whyman5Whyman
@Strangeland_Elf You’re taking the metaphor too literally.
English

@TravisB20876602 @Strangeland_Elf More like coopting them to be symbols of minorities. Which is funny because trying to anthropomorphize a race of beings that don't have human thought processes and rationality is asinine.
English

@Strangeland_Elf Racist over the demons? Because they were all European?
English

I agree and people did the same thing with the orcs in LotR so it’s been irking me for a while but at this point I don’t care who started it when everyone is giving me a headache.
Sull@Subliminal8910
@Strangeland_Elf The nazi angle never would've even happened if the dumbass leftist fans didn't call the series racist over the demons. i agree that both sides can be obnoxious but one side in particular spearheaded that discourse onto the series
