I just wanna say being shot sucks Whether it’s in the leg arm torso etc I’ve seen many friends get hit with 22s and live through it barely two still carry a 22 inside of them one in a lung. That said if they were hit with a 9mm 147 federal hst jhp like I was in the leg they wouldn’t be here today. The expansion cavity brushing from that round point blank was insane and almost a year later still tender. When your life matters it’s better to go with what works. Odd ball shit that’s untested can still work but I’d rather be safe than sorry and carry what’s known to do the job 9m and up and me I prefer 9m federal het either 147 or 124+p for easy follow up shots.

It excludes anything that it is either impossible or effectively illegal to build on. For example, there are a bunch of 20 acre lots in the middle of BLM land, 4 hours from everything and in order to get a building permit you would HAVE to build a $600k road. The average is based off of SLC plots that are $700k a acre, sandy lots which are $170k a acre, and spanish fork or tooele lots that are $50kish per acre.

I've been deploying some new general control policies on drones, and I got so pissed off with calibrating one of my sensors I just randomized its orientation in the training sim And the AI can still use it to fly..

I think the thing that really excites me, when it comes to robotics, is where state "estimation" is directly improved by the behaviour itself. And then, the behaviour can be improved by the improved estimation..

@elonmusk You do realize you can just do things right? Like, a movie studio, for example.

@Skate_a_book Already happened, to me. In a Cybertruck. On FSD. No one did shit. If you crash on FSD, no one will do shit for you or to you or to Tesla. No one died though so maybe that's why.

@MrTsoks @elonmusk Thanks. BTW I'm still excited for the future of electric mobility, but mainly outside the US. It still boggles the mind how far the US is falling behind the rest of the world on that front.

The timeline of @elonmusk's AI ambitions is a series of failed attempts to control bleeding edge AI: - 2015: Co-founds OpenAI as a nonprofit "for humanity." Pledges $1B, gives $38M. - 2017: Pushes OpenAI to go for-profit — but only if he's CEO. Wants $80B for Mars. When told no, storms out so aggressively Brockman thought he'd be physically hit. - 2017: While on OpenAI's board, secretly poaches Andrej Karpathy for Tesla. Email to Tesla VP: "The OpenAI guys are gonna want to kill me." -2018: Can't get control of OpenAI → quits. Starts telling Tesla investors TESLA is the AI company now. -2019-2025: Promises robotaxis "next year" every single year. 1M robotaxis by 2020. FSD by 2021. Cybercab by 2024. Unsupervised FSD by June 2025. None of it happens. - 2021-22: Sells $23B+ in Tesla stock to buy Twitter. Tesla stake drops from 23% → 13%. - 2023: With less Tesla equity, creates xAI — a private AI company he fully controls. Poaches Tesla employees and diverts NVIDIA GPUs meant for Tesla. - Jan 2024: Delaware court voids his $56B pay package. Musk threatens to build AI OUTSIDE Tesla unless shareholders give him more shares. - June 2024: Shareholders sue for breach of fiduciary duty. Separately, they re-approve his $56B comp package. - Sep 2024: Musk says Tesla has "no need to license anything from xAI." - Jan 2026: xAI tells investors it will build AI for Tesla's Optimus robot. Tesla invests $2B in xAI. - Feb 2026: SpaceX buys xAI for $250B. Musk admits it "was not built right." ALL 11 co-founders leave. 80+ engineers gone. - Mar 2026: Tweets "Tesla will make AGI." Announces joint xAI-Tesla project — destroying his own "no need for xAI" defense. - Apr 2026: SpaceX pays Cursor up to $60B to build a NEW AI model. Why pay $250B for xAI if you need someone else's model? - Apr 2026: Under oath, admits xAI copied OpenAI's models. Admits no written agreement for his $38M donation. Judge strikes his catchphrase from the record. - Apr 2026: Admits Tesla has NO plans for AGI. The tweet was 8 weeks old. - May 2026: Anthropic rents ALL of xAI's Colossus 1 datacenter — 220,000 GPUs. The AI company Musk built is now a supplier for the competition.

People don’t realize the Air Force Research Laboratory is weaponizing cavitation. QUICKSINK does not hit the ship directly it detonates a 2,000 lb bomb in the water beside/under a ship, creating a massive bubble void; the water’s return force can break the ship in half.

@Scivf4 ... kind of like how the fellowship of the ring is not composed of identical parts but is a diverse group of adventurers that each bring something unique to the table but I think turbine engines are pretty cool too

Inside a jet engine, turbine blades are not just identical parts. Each one is uniquely measured, weighed and assigned a specific position. At speeds up to 18000rpm, the rotor experiences extreme centrifugal forces that multiply even the smallest weight difference.

@TonySeruga Leg shots do have a place in law enforcement. This is not that place. Swedish police is a great example of how they’re done right, but unfortunately the majority of the ”legshot” crowd is sullying the method by basing their views on hollywood over genuine police track records

Mocking armchair critics who have probably never touched a gun, let alone faced a crazed demon, asking “Why not tase him / shoot him in the leg / talk to him?” or some similar nonsense. FACT: He was tased and shot multiple times.

@GregOwen70 @jmhorp Isn’t the whole argument of laffer that high taxes disincentivize economic activity, therefore lowering gdp? So why would you adjust for gdp when that’s the dependent variable?

The Laffer Curve is a useful concept for thinking about taxes, but the idea that Florida and Texas are near the "revenue maximizing point" is laughable. California and NY collect twice as much per capita as Florida! And maybe that's good for FL, but... they aren't maximizing
Wall Street Mav@WallStreetMav

The leftists think they can just raise taxes and more money comes in for them to spend. Despite all of the evidence of wealth leaving when they raise taxes, they still do it. They simply lack the ability to change direction. The same thing is happening in Europe and Canada.

My son got stabbed on a German subway yesterday Apparently an Afghan man got angry at him for not speaking Arabic He is in the hospital right now, and I have to say the experience has been absolutely wonderful He was seen by a doctor within 40 minutes of arriving The doctors were professional and helped my son right away No one asked for a credit card or insurance details His life was saved completely free of charge In America this would have cost $250,000 and he would be in debt for the rest of his life "Aren't you worried he got stabbed at all?" my wife was crying "Baby, crime exists everywhere but free healthcare does not" I told her My son is recovering well and should be back at his feet within couple months It feels so fantastic to be protected by the EU

@ElliotCohe74430 @elonmusk @Tesla @teslaownersSV Let's be honest. Any human driver that is paying attention would have done the same. Actually, i think most humans would anticipate faster. FSD reacted when the guy was already in the middle of the road...

Tesla FSD just saved two lives on the highway. A man walked straight into traffic in heavy fog/rain at 65+ mph. The Model 3 spotted him and swerved safely. Could’ve been fatal for both the pedestrian and my cousin driving. Insane reaction time. Grateful for @elonmusk @Tesla
