✊ Be kind whenever possible. I emphasise the 'whenever possible' bit. It's time to fight back, we are many, they are few. Vote Green 💚

Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham has set out his views on Labour's path forward and the policy challenges facing the country. Speaking to Channel 4 News' Andrew Misra, Burnham said he wanted Labour to become “a party that they can believe in again, a party solidly on the side of working class people.”

Greens are going to campaign for the Makerfield byelection, complicating Andy Burnham’s potential route back to parliament. But Caroline Lucas, the party’s former leader, posted: “I hope this isn’t true. There are times when it’s more important to put country before party. This is one of them”. EXC: Zack Polanski has admitted he did not vote in last week's local elections. He previously indicated he cast a postal vote in Hackney before spending polling day campaigning in Wales. However, the party confirmed that he had not registered because of fears for his safety.

Starmer and Reeves are not kidding when they say this political uncertainty causes economic damage. The only “reset” being achieved at the moment is higher borrowing costs. Result? We’re all worse off. So deeply depressing.

Labour calls for Starmer to go are growing. This is Socialist Campaign Group Secretary @RichardBurgon.
