@PoliceZimbabwe So sad what's heartbreaking is that this is chain of human errors one after the other .The first one was a minor accident let's prioritise moving our cars to safety first before we start arguing.

The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic accident in which seven pedestrians were killed after being hit by a by a truck on 03/04/26 at around 2200 hours at the 57 kilometre peg along Bulawayo -Beitbridge Road. The victims were at an accident scene involving three other vehicles, a Nissan March, Toyota Probox and a Toyota Baby Quantum . The Nissan March vehicle, which had three passengers on board, had been hit from behind by a Toyota Probox vehicle and both vehicles stopped in the roadway. The drivers and passengers disembarked to assess the damage. The third vehicle, a Toyota Baby quantum, then approached at high speed and struck people at the scene resulting in three people being injured. Moments later, the truck approached and ran over the stationary vehicles and pedestrians, killing five people on the spot while two others died upon admission at Esigodini District Hospital. Lion King music composer Lebo M is now trying to solve his dispute with Zimbabwean comedian Learnmore Jonasi through talks instead of only court action. His team has contacted Jonasi, who is currently on tour, to discuss a possible agreement. They are using an independent mediator to help with the discussions. This comes after Lebo M filed a US$27 million lawsuit, accusing Jonasi of using his work without permission. The case is still ongoing, but the new move shows that both sides may be willing to settle the issue peacefully.

One of the Starlink Authorised Resellers in Zimbabwe, Frampol, just got in touch to advise us they have introduced new Priority packages on the back of the recent developments. And they look pretty competitive. And they have both Mini and Standard kits available for $270 and $360 respectively. You can also bring your own kit if transferring it from roaming outside Zimbabwe.

To the marketing/advertising folk who have spent budget on similar promotions how do you evaluate the returns of a campaign like the below? PS legitimate question. I've seen arguments for and against (although most were against the campaign).

@mr_tm86 @rufarogz You've missed the plot. The tax/levy is charged by your local bank and not by the website/app you're paying for. A VPN doesn't solve this in any way

The 15% tax on online transactions creates a strong incentive for those payments to be done offshore. With millions of Zimbabweans in the diaspora able to create virtual credit cards with a few clicks on their digital wallet apps those transactions are simply going to migrate to outside the country. This policy action is an own goal which will see online payments originating from Zim falling off a cliff.
