Taking time out. Our beautiful mad wonderful Maple died this morning, devastated doesn’t cover what we’re feeling. Our hearts are broken. Vets said heart attack but she was just one and full of life. It doesn’t make sense, she zoomed into our lives and left whilst doing a zoomie. Hug your fur babies tight because you never know what’s going to happen… RIP our beautiful girl 💔

I have a dilemma. I live in a flat which is really well soundproofed. I've never heard my neighbours. Until now. A new guy has moved in upstairs and every footstep is like a mallet being bashed on my ceiling. All day. I can feel my BP rising. Should I speak to him or suck it up?

Need ypur help urgently. A bird of prey just dropped this pheasant chick into my back yard. RSPCA, WADARS and all local vets closed or not answering calls. How do I keep it alive until tomorrow morn? Thank you 🙏

My mate Bouncer died yesterday. He’d lived with us for 13 years as a furry, purring, permanently migrating ornament. I didn’t know I could feel such grief for a witless bag of bones who destroyed my favourite sofa and crapped in the shower tray. Below is a picture taken on the day he selected me at the animal shelter.

My best friend, soul mate & colleague died unexpectedly today. She was with us for 14 years. I never thought I'd find someone as fierce, fighty, stubborn & hostile as me. We loved hiding from the world together.

Last week, we said goodbye to our beautiful Nisha. She came to us as a rescue, after being found as a stray, and became a deeply loved part of our family, and part of the music too, appearing quietly in so many of the cottage videos. Thank you to everyone who noticed her, asked about her, and loved her from afar. The music in the video is called “Nisha”, it's a melody we used to sing it to her at home during Covid lockdown, and I later recorded it on my album Solace. She was deeply loved. We miss her so much
