@The_Irishman_30 @Rothmus $40 cell phone where??? Even Walmart straight talk is $50
English

@Hezbolsonaro @duns_sc0tus I teach about it, and a myriad of other cultural holidays, in my class. But not every teacher in my school does
English

@Didilifestyle Anyone says that if you’re that cool you “don’t need an invite” has obviously never been to a wedding. You absolutely need a direct invite so you have a place to sit, and food, etc.

@Jordan2Weber @MrCScholz There was an aide in my room last year who, while I was explaining that there are 50 stars on the flag to denote the 50 states, interrupted me to argue that there are 52 states 🤦🏼♀️
English

@MrCScholz 8th grade. Never thought I would have to teach students how many states we have in the country. But I get a lot of students who have no idea
English

@MrCScholz K-4 English as a new language (yes I know this means my Ss situations are a bit different than most) but every year I have to teach/review, with EVERY level, the difference between a word/sentence/paragraph. A deficit regardless of primary language or experience.

@TreetopPolyglot @MrCScholz The tech class in my school is just playing games. T doesn’t teach how to do an appropriate search, typing, or even how to log into the computer with their username/password. She expects classroom teachers to do it.
English

@MrCScholz High school. How to use a computer. I assumed when I started the removal of cursive was replaced with typing and computer literacy. Boy, was I wrong.

@FavoriteTeach11 Agree with everything except school choice initiatives. If you want your child to go to private school, you’ve always had that choice- you just need to pay for it on your own. Tax dollars have no business in private or religious schools period

-The No Child Left Behind Act was ineffective.
-The FCAT failed to achieve its intended goals.
-Parents not taking an active role in their child’s education is a significant issue.
-Parents neglecting to read to their children hinders early literacy development.
-The Department of Education has proven to be a failure.
Suggestions for improvement:
Reinstate the retention of students who are not academically prepared to advance.
Enforce stricter discipline policies, including expulsion for students who are disruptive and uncontrollable.
Revive reading campaigns and implement incentives to encourage literacy.
Expand school choice to provide families with more educational options.

@Cryptoking @elonmusk Yes, it will. But it will cut into profits
English

@elonmusk What is the problem with population decline?
The earth’s resources are already stressed.
Climate change is plaguing many nations.
Won’t less people make the earth a healthier place?
Like animals having too many rabbits or too many grizzlies becomes over populated.

Japan and many other countries face population collapse
The Rabbit Hole@TheRabbitHole
Japan is seeing more deaths than births with its fertility rate below replacement levels

@gerardovalles @DreamLeaf5 Um yeah that’s because they are children. Of course they are childish??
English

@DreamLeaf5 has anyone talked to a 15 to 17 years old girl? haha they're pretty childish, I'm not even talking about power dynamics here but girls (and boys, IDK, IDC) are really dumb before 25 and some never grow out of it.
English

@DreamLeaf5 Yeah those aren’t women, half of this chart is referencing CHILDREN. Girls.
