@MusQed @jitsegroen Huh, godsgeschenk? Voor Box 3 werden capital gains niet belast in NL, alleen dividenden/rente (inkomsten, geen aanwas). Box 3 houdt geen enkele rekening met inflatie. En werkelijk rendement komt alleen vanwege ingrijpen door de Hoge Raad, niet door Den Haag.

Nederland introduceerde met box 3 ooit een “fiscaal curiosum” dat nergens ter wereld bestond. Niet zo gek, want een slecht idee dat enorme schade heeft aangericht. Maar treurt niet - nu hebben we een nieuw fiscaal curiosum bedacht dat overal ter wereld navolging gaat krijgen. 🙃

This is a note I sent earlier today to all employees at Bird on why we are decreasing our European headcount by 20% as we shift our employee base closer to our customers in the US. Hi Team, Today I've made the difficult decision to reduce Bird's headcount by approximately 20%. The majority of the reduction is in Europe, with smaller adjustments across the rest of the business. I want to be direct with you about why. When I founded Bird 15 years ago in Amsterdam, we had no choice but to go global from Day 1. The Netherlands and Europe were simply too small a market for the company I wanted to build. Fifteen years later, the centre of gravity of the business has shifted: 75% of our revenue now comes from US-headquartered companies, including most of the Fortune 500, all of big tech, and many AI-native companies. As per my recent shareholders note, Bird is profitable and growing, with roughly $250m in net revenue for 2025 and based on valuation roughly the 30th largest company of The Netherlands. However comparing to the US we would not even make the top 1000. This decision is not about whether the business is healthy. It is about where the business has moved and its future to grow and win which is simply shifting away from Europe. Two things are driving the change. The first is geography. Our engineering and operations teams were built for a company headquartered in Amsterdam, and our customers in 2026 are increasingly not. We need to be closer to them. The second is AI. It has changed how we work, and tasks that required dedicated headcount even a few years ago no longer do. Building a global tech company from a European base has also gotten harder over the past decade. That is a longer conversation, one I have made publicly, and it is part of the picture here. We are continuing to hire in the US, recently across GTM, with more to come in engineering and other functions. This is not a reflection of your performance. @TimurNegru self paying full body MRI. It doesn't exist. I asked in so many countries for my mom. Only place was Switzerland. They don't offer this service like preventative MRI.

I recently got an MRI done on my shoulder at a private clinic in Barcelona. In and out in 45 minutes, cost €250. I'm not sure about peptides, exozomes and other hormone related tests/work but I'm pretty sure you can get a full body MRI scan in most, if not all European cities. When it comes to weed - in Barcelona for example they have many weed shops and you can become a member for €20 and smoke as much as you want. In some towns you'll need to be a resident though. I'd say cities like London, Lisbon, Madrid, Zurich etc. should have these longevity related tests.

10% van de rijkste Nederlanders betaalt zo'n 55% van alle opbrengsten uit de inkomstenbelasting. Deze mensen horen dagelijks hoe aso ze zijn en dat ze totaal kapot belast moeten worden. Het zijn deze mensen die massaal het land verlaten. Links maakt dit hele land kapot.

Ja maar de levenskosten in Amerika zijn ook echt 1,5x tot 2x zo hoog. Vooral in steden waar je dit soort hoge salarissen kan krijgen. Alleen al de huur van een woning is gemiddeld al bijna 3000 dollar per maand. Dus uiteindelijk zeggen dit soort salaris-vergelijkingen weinig.

@wol Het rijdt prima en veilig. Je kunt instellen dat hij 10% boven of onder de maximum snelheid rijdt. Hij rijdt zuinig ( 1 x onder de 10 Kwh per 100km) en smooth alsof alles van fluweel is. Geen motorgeluid, geen windgeruis. Al die camera's zien meer dan jij,ook in het donker. Fijn

Hoor om me heen dat mensen niet verlengen omdat Tesla te tuttig rijdt en de hele tijd klaar zitten om in te grijpen niet perse lekkerder is. Jullie ervaringen?
