@Peters_Glen @hausfath Because the termination of aerosols leads to very rapid regional and global warming. Which can be a shock. We used 0.2°C/decade of additional warming. The desulphurisation happened over the oceans, which cover 71% of Earth’s surface and take up ~90% of the heat. Better graph:

I was looking into the new China-Europe Arctic container shipping route that just opened and I'm quite amazed at the efficiency gain: shipping via the arctic is more than twice faster than via the Suez canal, and even 30% faster than train shipping!
- Normal shipping (via Suez canal): 40-50 days
- Train shipping (the China-Europe Railway Express that just got cut off by Poland: x.com/RnaudBertrand/…): 25 days
- Arctic shipping: 18 days!
No wonder China is so interested in developing it as an alternative. The big downside of course, for now, is that it can't function during the winter.

Shoutout to this based autist Tyler1. Tyler1 was a League of Legend’s player who got challenger status in all 5 roles and was even banned for being too alpha but this wasn’t enough. He decided randomly that he would win at Chess. In 9 months, he’s reached a 1900 ELO in rapid — absolutely unheard of. He plays 16 hours a day, teaches himself, and gives zero cares in the world. Chess GM’s like Hikaru Nakamura said it couldn’t be done but Tyler told them to kick rocks and did it anyways. His goal is 2000 ELO and he claims he will stop playing chess. We think Tyler should not stop until he makes Grandmaster. Like it or not, Tyler1 is peak autistic performance. 👏🏼
