Fire trucks cost $2-2.5 million dollars each, plus rack up even more in maintenance because there are few people who know how to service them.
Traditional rigs are bleeding cities dry and making it much more likely that towns (like mine) burn to the ground.
We need an Anduril of fire trucks ASAP. Get vehicle costs down, and make maintenance as easy as servicing a Toyota.
This is a huge business opportunity that can literally save lives. Who will build and fund this??

If it’s good enough for the Navy I think maybe Bumbletown (pop 12,000) can probably get by with something like these versus $1M-2.5M fully-custom apparatus. This format of a commercial chassis w/ custom body is a multi-problem solution: -Pushes back on a PE monopoly FDs helped create. -Reduces apparatus cost & timelines for delivery. By a LOT. -Improves access to parts, reliability (where downtime is a public safety risk). -Opens the door to more intelligent resource allocation, adapting equipment to align with larger public safety impacts, city priorities. -Superior maneuverability. -Improved firefighter safety.
