If Australia is such a racist country where “Islamophobia” is supposedly rampant and nothing new, how did an Egyptian-born Muslim woman, who chose to return to Egypt to study English literature, and marry an Egyptian man, rise to become a federal minister in the Australian government? Perhaps she could show some basic gratitude for the opportunities and trust this country has extended to her, despite her background, religion, and ongoing connections to Egypt. I say we aren’t racist enough. Serving in the Australian Parliament should be reserved for Australian-born citizens only.
