$USDCx to be integrated into Cardano is a USDC-backed token optimized for specific chains. It’s already supported on Aleo, @Stacks, and @CantonNetwork. If you deposit USDC into a Circle-dedicated smart contract called xReserve, it mints USDCx 1:1 on Cardano. So basically, by connecting Circle’s CCTP and Gateway, you can move USDC and USDCx across chains. The bottom line is that Circle’s official stablecoin would be supported on Cardano, and it would act as a bridge bringing stablecoin liquidity from external ecosystems.
