@calilyliu I’d argue with that :) Gaming in web3 is doing just fine, but on Telegram & TON. So if you don’t see it being prosperous anywhere else - it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. You’re just looking in the wrong direction.

Law is a self regulated profession, built on relationships, grey area interpretation and believe it or not, emotion. @harvey is doing a decent job, but it's with mechanical, black and white things -- like doc review and compliance. @awrigh01 was ahead of his time with OpenLaw. And then there's a long tail of attempts. Bottom line: it's pretty sturdy and not as disruptable as tech enthusiasts think.

There's a stronger argument for Gen X, but hell yeah: I actually went to a *computer lab* to write my senior thesis on the evolution of logistics, supply and food chains, for the British war machine ca 1500 - 1900. And lived in the library to conduct hard research. Shout out @NYULibraries (where I also studied for the NY bar exam and wrote my @highsnobiety whitepaper).

Millennials are the elite generation because they cranked out 12-page essays the night before they were due. No ChatGPT. No Claude. Just lo-fi beats playing in the background, Black coffee at midnight, footnotes that were somehow correct, and pure delusion. Grade was an A minus. Period.

The world is not static -- just because change is happening *over here* doesn't mean the people *over there* will sit around and do nothing. Sheesh.

Uh… @Grok is saying this clip is “AI-generated” but here’s the transcript of it from Hochul’s own website - this was a public Politico summit in Albany. I can see why people might think it’s fake – because her quote is so absurd – but it’s very real. governor.ny.gov/news/video-aud…

Kathy Hochul making a weak plea for wealthy people who have left New York (to red states like Florida) to come back to pay their high taxes to fund failing (unaccountable) social programs: “I need people who are high net worth to support the generous social programs we have in our state. Some patriotic millionaires who stepped up. Ok! Cut the me the checks. But if you want to supportive, maybe the first step should be go down to palm beach and see who you can bring back home

Major shout out to @tempo. Allow me to use this as a self-deprecation moment: attached you'll find a screenshot, the last time I talked about "state channels" in 2018 on Reddit 😅 Disclaimer: I'm no longer a romantic -- I do not believe 99.9% of these projects will deliver ;)

I’ve spent most of my career scaling payments. From 2017-2021, we poured years into building state channels on Ethereum The tech worked, but nobody used it. People used blockchains for trading tokens, not for making payments, and that's why L2s had to come first Agents are the users we were waiting for, and that's why we're stewarding the launch of the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) with channels baked in

Genuinely curious how @tempo determined where to bridge from. Some interesting choices (both listed and not).

Reporter: Can I ask you how you’re doing with your legal case against the BBC and their fake news documentary?” President Trump: “They put words in my mouth and said I said some pretty bad things. And I didn’t say it; it was AI-generated.”

The video was AI But not in the way you think AI video compression gives us incredible detail for low bit rate, but creates artifacts like what you’ve seen There is no “truth” unless you have the source video Everything online is compressed Everything online has artifacts
