new project — defuddle > de·fud·dle /diˈfʌdl/ transitive verb > to remove unnecessary elements from a web page, and make it easily readable. Inspired by my work on Obsidian Web Clipper I created Defuddle, an open source library to replace Mozilla's Readability in my projects. Defuddle extracts the main content from web pages. It's a bit more forgiving and tunable to my preferences. Notably, Defuddle uses a website's mobile styles to find unnecessary elements that can be removed from the page. still a work in progress but you can try it out in Obsidian Web Clipper 0.10.9, or install it via NPM

THIS IS HOW YOU COMPRESS 100 HOURS INTO 10 MINUTES > just tried NotebookLM + Obsidian combo and honestly… this is insane > i didn’t expect NotebookLM to be this powerful the craziest part? > the "YouTube to NotebookLM" extension you can literally pull entire channels, dump all videos into NotebookLM and get a structured mega-summary in minutes > but two features completely blew my mind: Audio Overviews: > turns any PDF, report or notes into a podcast-style dialogue between two hosts > perfect for listening while walking or driving Book Filter: > upload your Obsidian knowledge base + a new book ask: "Is there anything new for me here?" if the answer is "no" skip it and save dozens of hours > this feels like compression for knowledge if you’re serious about learning fast, here’s the stack: 📁 NotebookLM ↳ notebooklm.google.com 📁 YouTube to NotebookLM Chrome Extension ↳ chromewebstore.google.com/detail/youtube… 📁 Google Gemini ↳ gemini.google.com/app this combo + Obsidian vault = unfair advantage
