@NEJM If we are all such evidence based individuals, who is looking into the serious health issues for the individuals having to work for 24h, mostly without dedicated breaks? There is clear evidence on what lack of sleep does to the body and how it affects your reaction time. 🤷🏼‍♀️

In a CRT, resident physicians in pediatric ICUs were assigned to schedules that included shifts of 24 hours or more or schedules with shifts of 16 hours or less. Resident physicians made fewer serious medical errors when they followed the extended schedule.
