New York’s budget is now over a month late… and what’s Albany focused on? Octopus farming. I’m not kidding. Senate Bill S7421A / Assembly Bill A8043B, which says: “No person shall engage in the aquaculture of any species of octopus… for human consumption.” And: “No business entity shall sell… any octopus… product of aquaculture.” Only problem? There is no octopus farming industry in New York. Not one farm, not one business, not one job. But don’t worry, Albany is on it. While families are dealing with rising costs, crime, and a budget that’s nowhere to be found, lawmakers are busy banning an industry that doesn’t exist. You can’t make this up. At this point, it’s not a government, it’s an asylum. Time to clean house.

I’ve lived in NYC for over 3 decades. I’ve never heard anyone move away because there aren’t enough bike lanes and/or food deliveries. Top complaints in my circles are concerns about personal safety, unaddressed rampant homelessness, lack of rigor in public schools and high taxes

As New Yorkers across every income level flee the city in record numbers, one must admire the diabolical elegance of its leaders’ vision: soft-on-crime policies that embolden predators, a regulatory thicket that strangles enterprise, and confiscatory restrictions that punish success. They promised utopia. They delivered exodus. Bravo.

First off, genius, 13% of $1 million is $130,000. Second, some states (hi New York!) retroactively raise the tax you owe on all income once you hit higher levels. They call it “recapturing” - as in recapturing money that once belonged to you. Midwits gonna midwit

I cannot believe this. Kelsey Plum really thinks that if she earned a dollar more (giving her a million-dollar salary), she would have to pay an extra $13,000 in income tax. That is not how marginal tax rates work! If she earned a dollar more, she'd pay an extra 13 cents.

10 TRUTHS FOR NEW YORK: 1. Public safety is the first responsibility of government. 2. Bail reform has made communities less safe. 3. New York is taxed beyond what families can afford. 4. Parents—not bureaucrats—should decide how their children are raised and educated. 5. Fairness in sports matters. 6. Sanctuary policies strain local communities and resources. 7. Congestion pricing is a new tax on working and middle-class commuters. 8. Energy policy should lower costs—not raise them. 9. Schools should reward merit and excellence. 10. New York is worth fighting for—and fixing.

An 18 year old girl named Mary Anne arrived in this very room on Ellis Island in New York from Scotland on May 11, 1930 with a dream for a better life. L She had $50 to her name and planned to work as a domestic servant (housemaid). Little did she know that 86 years later, her son would become the 45th & 47th President of the United States. @glennbeck

New data shows that under Democrats Zohran Mamdani and Kathy Hochul, New York now has the highest taxes in the nation When you add together the total tax burden for each state. That's income tax, property tax, sales, and excise tax as a share of total income: - New York topped that list with a tax burden of 12.5% - Hawaii ranked second at 12.3% - Maine is 3rd - Vermont is 4th - Connecticut is 5th - New Jersey is 6th Every one of these states is run by Democrat control. (Vermont is the exception with a Republican governor but the state is run by a Democrat majority legislator) Alaska had the lowest tax burden at just 5%. Also near the bottom was Tennessee at number 47, Florida at number 46, both with burdens around 6%

On @TheBigMoneyShow, we broke down the clash between Zohran Mamdani and Ken Griffin over NYC’s direction. “I don’t understand how it makes sense. You have a $230M taxpayer who never uses services… that’s a profit center. Why push them away? It makes absolutely no sense.”

LIVE NOW on @TheBigMoneyShow on @FoxBusiness from 12 to 1 PM ET. Breaking down the Strait of Hormuz blockade, Iran’s collapsing oil revenue, and what it means for global markets, plus the fight over New York’s economic direction and failed big government projects. Tune in!

This is the daily commute for too many women in NYC thanks to feckless @NYCMayor and @ManhattanDA. No fear. Criminals Roam Free and Reign Supreme. Perhaps the Mayor and DA should get out of their private cars and ride the subways.

The DSA is America's Communist Party. Call it whatever you want. "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." They usurped the role of the county committees. They have taken over City Hall. Once they control judicial screenings, today's party leaders will realize they should have opened primaries. By then, it'll be too late. #OpenPrimaries.
