The extensively documented regime change riots provided a bridge between the 12-day-war and the current assault on Iran, and form the blueprint for Israel's stalled plan to destabilize the country from within. At the time, Amnesty described the rioters as "largely peaceful protesters," as though they were staging a lunch counter sit-in. Amnesty also held rallies in Europe throughout January which supported the toppling of Iran's government. Mehdi confidently echoes Amnesty's deceptive language in order to browbeat his interview subject, presenting him as a criminal while his colleagues at Iran's Foreign Ministry face the threat of assassination by Israel. With his deployment of yet another shabby regime change narrative, and his characteristic refusal to acknowledge any facts which might undercut his pre-packaged argument, Mehdi has joined the US-Israeli information war against Iran. None of his virtue signaling about Palestine can deflect from the insidious role he's playing.

That was an interesting read, thanks. I still stand that this is cool sci-fi stuff, that tries to apply to may hypotheticals (especially when it comes to deep space exploration, robotics technology, and human interaction with objects we can only observe from incredibly far distances) so I’ll give Nolan dorm accolodes from not veering too far into the full nonsense category. I like movies like Ad Astra much more, where the space travel sections were very realistic and demonstrated how truly limited current and foreseeable technology to travel even beyond the moon truly is. I also loved the conclusion: even if we were able to get to Neptune, and deploy a long range relay to amplify radio waves or any other methodology to communicate with extraterrestrial life, given the incomprehensible vastness of space, silence is very much the likely outcome of that scenario. Interstellar was more of a cool fantasy of what it’d be like if something organic matter were to cross a black hole — again, I feel it would be nothing like the movie portrayed but still an interesting thought exercise.
