@sharrond62 Maybe the way to recruit is not to make child soldiers but to make it a better paid career

When we desperately need to boost service men & women figures this again seemed a stupid more to save so little ..

@sharrond62 @RobertJenrick Yeah, child soldiers are definitely the answer
English

@RobertJenrick When we’re struggling to get our numbers up in the armed forces this seem a crazy move 😟

@sharrond62 Nothing has been officially disclosed regarding the allegations he has been suspended for. Telegraph deliberately trying to make it a culture war issue. Shocking I know!

Jeez. The NHS will pay the King’s duchy £11m over 15 years to rent a warehouse for ambulances whilst the Ministry of Justice pays William’s duchy £1.5m a year to use Dartmoor prison

@GSpellchecker @FraserMyers Easy to say that no one should face a custodial sentence for speech when it isn’t your life that is being repeatedly put at risk by that speech. Custodial sentences absolutely should be a potential consequence of libel / slander.

'Robinson’s version of events bears scant resemblance to the actual truth'
This is a perfectly balanced piece by @FraserMyers on the duplicitous nature of Tommy Robinson and concerns about UK libel laws.

Left: Health Secretary Wes Streeting says that Physician Associates are there to take pressure off of doctors giving the example of one doing the job of a dietician
Right: If PAs are doing the job of dieticians, what are we going to do with our actual dieticians?
Come on @wesstreeting you should be fixing this, not doubling down. End PAs. Get us qualified doctors, nurses, dieticians
If PAs want to be in medicine, support them to qualify properly. Don't continue with the disaster of PAs. End the short cuts
And why are PAs being paid more than some doctors? Come on, have a bit more integrity and repair our health system, don't water it down like the Conservative party have done so

@mikegalsworthy In fairness being the greatest conservative mind of this generation isn’t exactly like winning the Krypton Factor.

@maitlis It’s always telling to a lack of character when you set yourself up against something rather than for something. Anything ‘Davos’ hates must be good, even if it is a bit rapey

@RestIsPolitics @campbellclaret @RoryStewartUK With the escalation in Lebanon, which country could credibly act as an arbiter of peace?

@RoryStewartUK Why can we never have an honest debate about health care costs - i.e. what should it look like and how much that would cost?
English

Politicians cannot keep pretending that we can deliver the NHS services that people expect without raising taxes - and that includes taxes on median earners…
Office for Budget Responsibility@OBR_UK
Assuming governments continue to meet demand, public health spending will grow at over 3% per year on average over the next 50 years, around twice the real growth rate of the economy. As a result, it is projected to rise from 7.9% of GDP now to 14.5% of GDP by the 2070s. #OBRfiscalrisks

@StanCollymore The smarter companies position it as deep discounting to the ‘normal’ price. Then they just remove the discount rather than surge the pricing. It’s all over the supermarkets already.
English

Let's see how you feel when dynamic pricing is brought to your local supermarket and your essentials are 5 times the price because of limited supply.
Disaster capitalism starts with items that are dispensable, CEO's see the money made then apply it to every day life items.
Make sure you're wealthy enough to pay 5 times the advertised price for your bread.
Because it will happen.

@StanCollymore No one is forcing anyone to overpay to be disappointed. The brag is actually not having tickets.
