Taliban militias held a funeral gathering (Fatiha ceremony) for a TTP militant named Abdullah Mangal, who was known among the Taliban by the alias “Ababil,” at the Madalki Mosque in Manduzai District of Khost Province. Abdullah Mangal was reportedly killed a day ago in Pakistan’s Kurram District during an operation by Pakistani forces. The ceremony is currently underway.

The AN-32 is designed to excel in extreme environments, functioning perfectly in high-altitude airfields and hot tropical climates. It can transport up to 7.5 tons of cargo, 50 passengers, or 42 paratroopers, and it is extensively used for supply drops in remote regions. The crash comes months after two pilots of the Indian Air Force were killed in a Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jet crash in the Karbi Anglong district of Assam. According to initial reports, the AN-32 aircraft went down within the Air Force Station premises while landing, triggering a fire after the crash.

Security operations conducted in the Palangzai and Khuzai area of Miranshah, North Waziristan, have reportedly dealt a significant setback to the Kharji terrorist networks operating in the area.
According to ground sources, the area had been used as a main hub for planning and facilitating kharjit activities. Since the launch of Operation Iron Fist-III on 2 June, multiple engagements have taken place across the sector.
Key reported developments include:
• A total of 45 FAK militants were reportedly confirmed killed through aerial surveillance and drone footage analysis.
• 25 deadbodies were recovered from various engagement sites during clearance and search operations.
• Eight suspected militant facilitators have been arrested during follow-up intelligence-based actions.
• Several fortified compounds and operational hideouts used by Kharji militants were destroyed during the operation.
• Ground sources further claim that the overall militant casualties may be between 54 and 55 Kharjits of TTP and IMP, though independent confirmation of these figures remains pending.
Among those reported killed was Khalid Raza alias Sallar dawar, described by security sources as a senior local commander affiliated with the Gul Bahadur faction(IMP).
Security forces continue area clearance, search, and verification operations to eliminate remaining threats and prevent the re-establishment of militant infrastructure in the region.
