@SouthamptonCC What enforcement of the restrictions will there be in that six month period?
English

🚏From next Monday, Portswood Road will enter the six-month trial period of a part time bus/taxi/cycle only restriction, operating Monday to Saturday from 7-10am and from 4-7pm. Please read more about the trial here: transport.southampton.gov.uk/portswood.

@JMoultonSoton Why not take it up with your now booted-out government who approved the funding for the revised plans...

We have weeks of traffic chaos at the #Southampton Civic Centre junction, with temporary traffic lights because Labour chose to waste money shutting off Devonshire Road rather than replacing the lights. They really are beyond a joke.

@SPTomos No templates, just text blocks along with the working drawings. I must get round to uploading the Welsh accents to Wikimedia.

@_The_Nikodimos_ @ShowMeASignBryn If there is, I certainly don't know it

@ShowMeASignBryn @Nathan_A_RF Is there a Traffic Signs Authorisations page where they show the "denied" authorisations, or is that not a thing?

@borderlandsbike @20splentyforus That public will is 0.55% of the population of Flintshire
English

@20splentyforus Ultimately politicians are in charge of councils, and shows of public will can be very influential. Certainly not uncommon for local authorities to make political decisions which override their legal obligations or any formal guidance.

In this article @FlintshireCC states it’s had 855 requests have to remove 20mph from the county’s roads
Anyone who doesn’t want their street to be sped up on the back of people who drive through it, but don’t live on it, needs to ACT NOW and tell their council to keep their 20

More than 5,000 drivers were caught breaking the 20mph speed limit in North Wales last month, a 480% increase from the previous month. deeside.com/thousands-of-d…

Getting the hang of this KeySIGN business. Think I need to properly go through documentation though to get things a bit more perfect. Any expert recommendations @ShowMeASignBryn ?

Pretty please don't use what3words, @carltonreid. Why? Ask @cybergibbons and @alexbloor. Better to update Google on the actual location, and/or share the lat/long.

Just published: Manchester is home to the UK's first quantum speed limit, a 30mph restriction on the Mancunian Way that appears to be a legal impossibility. roads.org.uk/blog/schroding…

@willnorman @RNIB That example lacks the ability for blind and partially sighted people to be able to differentiate the cycleway from the pavement. Lowering it slightly or providing raised segregation lines as should be provided on a segregated cycleway & footway would help.
English

Massive thank you to the team at @RNIB for taking us out to see how blind & partially sighted people experience London's streets.
Really look forward to continuing to work with their knowledgeable team to improve designs and ways of working.

Yesterday we met with @SebDance, Deputy Mayor for Transport, and @willnorman, TfL Walking and Cycling Commissioner, and showed them how blind and partially sighted people experience the streets of London.

Lodge Road junction is a bit pants - the junction area is far too large. However, finally, another proper floating bus stop instead of just ending the cycle lane around it.
