@alosaav 👋 It's important to note that the Oura Ring tracks your temperature trends continuously throughout the night 💜

Like it can measure temperature on the natural cycles app but it only does it once a day which seems counter intuitive for measuring temps in the case of random illness
paola@alosaav

I’m @ouraring’s biggest downfall is not actively measuring temperature so that one can be aware if one has a fever or not

@scotchsoupmaker Hey Joan 👋 It’s important to note that NC° is the first & only FDA-cleared (not approved) birth control app on the market! ✨ You may find this article on our website helpful: What are the certifications behind NC° Birth Control?

btw your insurance will probably cover the natural cycles app if you get your dr to prescribe it (it’s an fda approved form of birth control somehow) and yes i’m going to force my dr to prescribe it to me

@OKAYYYWOWWW I have the oura ring and it pairs with the natural cycles app. It’s not free which I don’t love but I do love the natural cycles app!

Does anyone have a cycle tracking app that they love? I’m currently using Stardust and I’m just not really impressed with it. I’ve been playing around with Pregmate but I’m not 100% sold. Do you use anything else?

They're tracking the fertile window. Women are only actually fertile around 6 days per cycle. The 5 days before ovulation and the day of. Outside that window the probability of pregnancy drops to near zero. Apps like Natural Cycles, Clue, and Flo track this using basal body temperature, cycle length and ovulation signs. Some couples also use LH strips to detect the exact ovulation day. It's called Fertility Awareness Method. When done correctly the failure rate is around 2-3% per year. Same as the pill used perfectly. They're not avoiding it by luck. They're treating the female cycle like a science project. Which honestly it is.

@ouranometrian2 I like my Oura ring but my temps aren’t super clear and I read it could be because I have thyroid issues. Gonna try the Natural Cycles app connected to the Oura ring in a while but overall I think you’re right, which is why NFP/FAM is so difficult if TTA is important.

If you really want to use "natural" tracking methods to prevent pregnancy you need to track 2 or 3 things. 1 isnt good enough. Even temp. Hard to pre predict the fertile window unless you just abstain for longer

@jody_rebec49768 @MonicaMAlmaguer It’s an app that syncs with the Oura Ring. It uses the body temperature function to predict ovulation and cycle. This is year 3, planned our first child with it, and no more intense IUD cramping.

Ladies you need to start tracking how often you have sex with your husband. Then ya'll would realize how little it is. It's probably down right embarrassing.
