Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh addressed the two-day conference of the National Cadet Corps at Manekshaw Centre today. The two-day ADGs/DDGs Conference of the NCC commenced at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi, bringing together senior leadership from NCC Directorates across the country. Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Defence Secretary addressed the gathering and emphasised the transformation of NCC in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, while appreciating NCC’s contribution towards youth development and social outreach. On 09 January 2026, NCC Directorate Maharashtra’s Pune to Delhi Cycle Expedition ‘Shaurya Ke Kadam, Krant Ki Ore' moved from Jhansi to Gwalior covering 101 kms. Gwalior finds a special place in Maratha History. During his Delhi campaign of 1737, Peshwa Bajirao after facing some reverses at Jalesar (near Etah), concentrated his Army at Kotila, near Gwalior. Thereafter, unaffected by concentration of three large Mughal Armies blocking his path to Delhi, Bajirao pressed on to quickly launch an attack on Delhi. Thereafter, Gwalior was ruled by Maratha Military Commander Ranoji Scindia, the founder of Scindia Dynasty. NCC Cadets of 15 MP Bn NCC, Gwalior led by Brig Anil Jaithalia, Gp Cdr, NCC Gp HQ Gwalior & Col Sanjeev Sarin, officiating CO, 15 MP Bn NCC, Gwalior formed part of Local Cycle & Padyatra Teams & welcomed the Expedition Team at auditorium of Rajmata Vijay Raje Scindia Krishi Vishva Vidyalaya, Gwalior. Mr Amit Sanghi, IPS, DIG Gwalior & offrs of other local NCC Bns were also present to encourage the Cadets. Cycle Expedition started form Pune on 24 Dec 25 and has had halts at Manchar, Sagamner, Manmad, Dhule, Sendhwa, Dhamnod, Mhow, Dewas and Sehore, prior to arrival at Bhopal on 03 Jan 26. It will move to Vidisha tomorrow and finally reach Delhi. @HQ_DG_NCC @cm

Cdt Shristi Gehlot of NCC DTE MP CG (Indore Group) participated in the NSCC (National Shooting Championship Competition). She delivered an excellent performance and secured a score of 545 points.
