Additional DG, Maharashtra Directorate called on Hon’ble Deputy CM, Smt Sunetra Ajit Pawar who is also the Sports & Youth Welfare Minister at her Devagiri Residence, Malabar Hill, Mumbai. ADG apprised the Minister about the wide reach of NCC across all 36 Districts of the State, increasing spectrum of activities and ongoing initiatives of youth empowerment including progress of NCC expansion. Discussions with the Hon’ble Minister focused around skilling of NCC cadets, especially in newer domains like Drone & Cyber training as also increasing career opportunities being afforded to our future leaders, as ripples of societal transformation, within ambit of National vision centred on core pillars of #SashaktYuva & #NariShakti in support of #ViksitBharat. While conveying gratitude for active support by state authorities to #NCC endeavours, the General officer sought support from the Hon’ble minister to secure dedicated training infrastructure for state cadets and a formalised MoU extending availability of Sports & Youth Services facilities for NCC. NCC Cadets on YEP in Mauritius 🇲🇺 visited Mauritius Football Association. Cadets then visited Citadelle (Fort Adelaide), Port Louis Museum, and Marie Reine de la Paix, gaining insights into the island’s history and culture. The delegation also visited the historic Aapravasi Ghat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The team later had an Indian lunch with members and the Under Secretary from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
