@HorizonCasts Broadly agree, though it is objectively untrue that the US is "as safe or safer". It’s pretty high on the list of most dangerous developed countries. Of course even a relatively dangerous developed country is very safe.

There's nothing wrong with Worlds being in the US and it rankles me that these fearmongering BS takes keep coming up. The US is just as safe, it not safer, as any other country. You know what will happen when you come over here as a tourist from another country for a League of Legends event? Nothing, you'll have a great time, particularly in Texas. Don't be a nuisance, don't break the law and you'll be right as rain. "With everything going on in the US," meaning what exactly? Unless you plan to get in fights with law enforcement you shouldn't have a problem. If your that concerned with US domestic issues, which have nothing to do with you and which you won't be involved in, that it makes you not want to travel, then don't. More tickets for the rest of us that want to go to Worlds.

This video is very hard to watch. Daniel Shaver is given confusing orders shouted by an officer who has "You're Fucked" on the dust cover of his rifle. Shaver begs for his life until he is eventually shot while crawling forward as instructed. You can absolutely support law enforcement while also acknowledging that there are bad apples who are overeager to escalate and shoot.
