Outside of Ramon Laureano’s .357, the highest batting average on the Padres right now is Fernando Tatis Jr. at .235.
It’s obviously early but this coaching staff is doing a terrible job of preparing the players. The boys look bored!!

@RyanPayne32 A little worrisome that the manager hired the hitting coach because of his religious affiliation and he then said during a spring in-game interview that he never really wanted to be a coach. Results seem dead on so far.

Through four games, the Padres rank 26th in Barrel%, 29th in slugging and have a top five chase rate.

Our first real glimpse into the bullpen strategy of new manager Craig Stammen. He's going to Adrian Morejon with the tying run aboard in the sixth. Probably Stammen's highest leverage setup man. But why not here? Two lefties due (though a PH almost certainly looms). Big spot.

We have optioned INF Mason McCoy and RHP Alek Jacob to Triple-A El Paso and reassigned LHP Marco Gonzales, RHP Triston McKenzie, C Rodolfo Durán, INF Francisco Acuña, OF Nick Schnell, INF/OFers Nick Solak and Pablo Reyes to minor league camp. With today’s moves, we now have 44 players in Major League camp.

The #Pirates did the right thing by reassigning Konnor Griffin to minors for a couple of reasons. 1. It gives them a chance to secure an extra year of control which for a small market team like PGH is huge. 2. He wasn't quite major league ready w/ the bat. However Pwr & de is ready.
