@lazywalker64@SpursOfficial Was good till they scored - problem is can’t score and a couple of those decisions went against us, which had it been our players would have been judged differently
All that wonderful work undertaken by the fans groups pre-match undone by a group of players who have literally waved a white flag to our time in this league. @SpursOfficial
"Water companies are ruining our seaside — prison is the only deterrent."
Cracking idea but here's the thing. The Environment Agency already has the power to bring prosecutions resulting in a maximum jail sentence of 5 years, unlimited fines, and under the Proceeds of Crime Act confiscation orders.
How many water company executives do you think have ever been investigated never mind prosecuted by the EA?

Through all of his 8 years running the Environment Agency Sir James Bevan was never actually employed by the EA, he was always on 'secondment' from the Foreign Office so that he could remain a member of the civil service pension scheme.
Does that mean he got to keep his final salary pension bearing in mind that when he stepped down from the EA he was making £200,000 a year? Hell of a pension.
"these bin workers woke up one morning & they were told they were going to take up to an £8,000 pay cut.. there was a deal.. & the managing director came back & said I can't get this through the govt commissioners"
@UniteSharon on the Birmingham bin strike.
2012. 'Comedian' Jimmy Carr was involved in a 'legal' tax avoidance scheme.
There was public/media outcry.
Carr apologised.
He pulled out of the scheme.
He paid the tax bill of £500k.
Richard Tice avoided £600k in taxes. Where is the media coverage?

Sounds like a plan. Who's in?
One in six private renters is now renting a former council home, often at extortionate rates – and often partly paid for by the government in the form of housing benefit.
It's not just deeply unfair - it economically doesn't make any sense.

In January BBC News provided 37 minutes of live coverage of a Reform press conference (12 minutes and then 25 minutes).
@ZackPolanski has done a press conference for the Greens this morning, & never mind any live coverage, I haven't even see it mentioned!
Since @Ofcom seems to have given up, we asked 20 experienced journalist from a wide range of backgrounds to watch multiple hours of @GBNEWS . Their conclusion: the supposedly regulated channel has, in effect, become Reform TV. How did it happen? thenewworld.co.uk/alan-rusbridge…

Hi @parcelforce I’ve been waiting weeks for a parcel from Sweden. It’s sitting in your depot. You aren’t delivering it. You aren’t updating tracking. Your phone staff agree it’s chaos. What can I do to get it to my house?

@monstroso@DanielJHannan To stop this nonsense could have changed the notes and kept the same people. It was obvious this was going to happen. Why give them the opportunity
@DanielJHannan Labour have nothing to do with the decision. The notes change every 10 years for security reasons, as you well know. Before 2016 it was Elizabeth Fry. A public vote chose British animals this time round. Grow up.
The removal of Churchill from our banknotes is presented as the kind of trivial change that only racists get worked up about. It is an old trick: you take away something that people like, and then accuse them of starting a culture war when they complain.
In fact, what our money looks like is far from a trivial issue. When Jesus drew the border between spiritual and temporal authority, he did so by pointing to Caesar’s face on a coin and asking the Pharisees: “Whose is this image and superscription?” There was no more resounding symbol of state power than the coinage.
