@troyhyde44 I saw this and said the exact same thing. That is not a pass that directly scores a basket. Makes you think how did they count assists when Hurley played. My guess is not like this. The one stat interpreted in so many ways it can be a misleading stat.

Lost in all the chaos of Iowa State, Iowa men’s/women’s hoops and high school state basketball is the possibility of Drake and UNI men playing in the MO Valley conference tournament finals. Both have to win today but not much mention of this possibility. Would be pretty cool!

@OhioTate Really bad look for Miami. They have a very nice team & I think could do some damage come March. However didn’t win people over with this response after a hard fought game.

Thoughts on the court at the Big 12 tournament? I think a little over the top in my opinion. However would be cool if they put the team’s home court design on the side the team is scoring on.

Question: If you are a 1A girls basketball program and you get put into Newell-Fonda’s region, is that basically a death sentence? When was the last time N-F lost to a 1A public school? #iagbb

@SportsGuysIowa @mschrocka More competitive games. In 5A vs 5A games this year girls. 61% were greater than 15 point margins….. 71% were greater than 10. Reclassify get teams that are like each other playing. Beds numbers is archaic.

@MattNorlander @CBSSportsCBB Once you graduate or declare for the NBA or pro you are done, plain and simple. It literally is about money and I am sorry but you don’t get a chance at college again unless it is for academics only.

@feldy53 @cdrift24 College sports definitely going in the wrong direction. NIL really isn’t NIL, it’s just a way to induce a player to a school. Transfer portal is a joke. Regulations need set up now starting with transfers, contracts, and academics.

Let’s not kid ourselves, there is a lot exploiting going on in college sports. Universities have done that to a point, now players are and the worst are the agents. Also when was the last time a school had an academically ineligible player?

@NCAA what are we doing here? Guys that have already gone pro to come back because they didn’t make it in the league & to come back for pure money reasons, is ridiculous. Feel bad for high school kids. You go pro, amateur status is gone. Then again college hoops is turning pro.

Hot take or opinion. Nothing wrong with the UNI-Dome or the atmosphere but what if state football was held at Drake?Two games at a time, creating more of tournament feel. Or elite 8 there to make the final four at the dome? Could be something unique. #iahsfb

I am not sure there are three more physical and assertive teams in the country than Big 12’s top 3, Arizona, Iowa State, and Houston. Better bring your big pants in those match-ups. #NCAABasketball
