@TomLoweCinema @nathie BCI is a glorified Fitbit they have to drill a hole into your head to install. The challenge of VR and AR is the extreme amount of friction to adopt and you think requiring brain surgery to use the device is going to be better? 😂

@nathie VR will always fail. It's been failing for decades already. Brain-computer-interfaces like Neuralink are the future. VR and AR bros are copers.

People who say VR gaming is dead should come to VidCon. Gorilla Tag and YouTuber Jmancurly have taken over the show with a huge event. The kids you see here are the next generation of VR users.

@ControlledPairs @nathie Not so sure. When I was a kid, Naughty Dog made Crash Bandicoot for us. It led to huge success, and when their audience got older, they adapted with games like Jak & Daxter, and eventually Uncharted and The Last of Us. Gorilla tag kids grow up to be VR playing teens and adults

@TheVResistance @vrgamesshowcase I can explain. It’s hard enough for devs to make a profit on Meta even with 84% of all VR headset owners, and Meta for years was personally pouring millions of dollars into VR studios to fund their project. In comparison, Sony gives little to no funding to VR devs.

@SwiiLive Because most games today that aren’t produced by big AAA companies (not giving them a pass, they have the resources) rely on creating visually complete looking prototypes to raise funding. We didn’t do that, we just used kits and megascans but gen AI also wasn’t good back then

What happened to using this as a texture place holder in videogames instead of AI? "We forgot to remove the AI assets" thats exact why this pattern is so visually strong

We just added snowfall to Frostbite, our upcoming Far Cry-inspired VR game, and even though it’s a small detail, it completely changes the atmosphere. The world feels colder, quieter, and a lot more alive. You can already wishlist Frostbite on Quest, and soon on Steam!
