At least since the age of Enlightenment, modern audiences tend to side with Prometheus and view Zeus as a cruel tyrant.
In this video, I examine three interpretations of the myth (the political, the technological, and the existential) and I argue that the myth contains far richer symbolism than the modern interpretations and reinventions of the myth give it credit for. Link below:

For the record, I think Lupita Nyong’o is incredibly beautiful. I mean she has a nearly perfect face. The issue is that Helen of Troy was Greek and described as fair and Musk is almost certainly correct that Nolan changed her race to fulfill the new diversity standards the Academy requires. And we should whine about that. It’s death to art.
