@RefereeHalsey @RestIsFootball From my experience lower down the pyramid, and nearing hanging up my whistle, I worked with some great referees who never got promoted as high as they should because they didn't fit the profile, but players & managers loved them.

Been complimented for my sprinting prowess on the line this weekend, which I'll take cos I feel like I've been towing a caravan since about November. Still no high speeds clocked on @refsix! Give us a break already and reset those limits so us mere mortals can stand a chance 🙏🏻

@stedaley78 @TalkingWoSo Totally agree mate, I’ve experienced this season teams that unfortunately just arnt up to retaininfhteir status then you have the Dartfords and the Fulham’s that could quite comfortably bed in at Tier 4 if not Tier 3 with the right infrastructure.

@TalkingWoSo Tier 5 in the South East has a number of teams that could easily compete at Tier 4, the lack of promotion opportunities and all the bottlenecks are stopping teams progressing and it’s a real shame. Something needs to be done to create more opportunities for teams!

All eight of the teams who were promoted to the FA Women's National League from Tier 5 last season have successfully retained their league status. Brilliant to see, and a real sign of encouragement for any teams looking to progress and consolidate in the fourth tier (or above).
