@tintinhaddock47 @EricLDaugh Like the second amendment and guns. When the constitution was written no one assumed there would be guns that could fire hundreds of rounds a minute and be readily available. So if this is your argument for 14, you have to allow it for 2. Can’t have it both ways.

🚨 HOLY SMOKES. Justice Sam Alito just sounded the alarm that unlimited birthright citizenship means a Chinese, Iranian or Russian foreigner can have a child in America, and that US citizen owes MILITARY ALLEGIANCE to a foreign adversary "They have the duty of military service. It seems that makes them subject to a FOREIGN POWER!" 🔥 Gosh he is so good. "Not subject to any foreign power is pretty straightforward. So let me give you these examples. A boy is born here to an Iranian father who has entered the country illegally." "That boy is automatically an Iranian national at birth and he has a duty to provide military service to the Iranian government, is he not subject to any foreign power?" "What I said about a boy born to an Iranian father is true of children born here to parents who were nationals of other countries. It's true to a child who's born here to Russian parents." The framers of 14A did not intend for this!

An American citizen’s baby can’t become a Chinese citizen by being born on the soil of China. Can anyone explain why a Chinese citizen’s baby should be able to become an American citizen by being born on the soil here? It’s absolute insanity.

@XJR_0980 @RedWavePress No one is ignoring race. Race plays an integral part in an analysis of any individual or society as a whole. Racism on the other hand, is illogical. Once again proven wrong. You are bad at this. You can’t even ragebait well.

Chief Justice John Roberts on Birthright Citizenship: “You obviously put a lot of weight on 'subject to the jurisdiction thereof. But the examples you give to support that strike me as very quirky. You know, children of ambassadors, children of enemies during a hostile invasion, children on warships…” “And then you expand it to a whole class of, illegal aliens are here in the country. I'm not quite sure how you can get to that big group from such tiny and sort of idiosyncratic examples.” What a disgrace!

@slingshot681 @RedWavePress Precedence can be made off of one or two specific examples that speak to the broad nature of the class, but if the examples are not representative of the larger class they would not form the basis of a precedent.

@RedWavePress Our constitution was written at a time when the framers did not understand jewish lawyers would parse the plain meaning and original intent out of the text so as to make the constitution itself meaningless.

@BasedMikeLee Page 12 line 22 says that state governments shall make a process, but that process does not guarantee the right to vote upon submission of the attestation. That determination is still at the discretion of the state official. There also isn’t a process for disputing the result.

SHOCKING: NDP MLA Stephanie Higginson says she won’t support the Drug Use Prevention Education in Schools Act because she finds “explicitly discouraging drug use” to be “deeply concerning”. I find it deeply concerning that this government can’t put their radical ideology aside for a single second to protect BC school kids from life-destroying drugs.

@WatchMyReview @KPapetti Roy, Lorentz and Laughton made sense to me in the roles I assumed (3C, 4W, 4C and all on PK). Joshua doesn’t make sense to me. Also don’t let Domi off the hook in this group. I don’t think he does anything more than Robertson this year but he hasnt sat a game.

@WynterythTX @Watkinvasion56 There isn’t any assessment 1.5 trillion in pork in S.2882, so I find your initial statement to be false. Extending ACA subsidies would cost roughly 350 billion over ten years, are unaffordable when the house/senate used those funds to enshrine trump tax cuts permenantly

Hey Andrew. What part of what I stated is false? Before answering, you should make sure to familiarize yourself with S.2882. That's the Democrat CR that was introduced with 1.5T in pork in it. Then feel free to put together a cogent rebuttal in regards to the ACA subsidy sunset that was a part of the 2023 American Rescue Plan and in regards to the ACA itself.

🚨 BREAKING: Trump just openly bragged about consolidating power during the shutdown he and his allies orchestrated. “After your pivotal changes to the Senate rules last month… we’ve confirmed more than 175 Trump nominees in just a few weeks.” He’s not hiding it anymore — he used the shutdown to fast-track loyalists and choke off oversight.
