@Admiral_King_ @clarityysix Reporting says no greenlit projects YET, which means they're still in the incubation stage. This means the focus will be marathon and getting some version of a D3 (or a new game) greenlit. The layoffs are probably going to be substantial to reduce overhead until production.

@clarityysix If this was the case then no one would mind. D2 definitely should've ended in the final shape, but its known that Bungie and Sony had no plans to make D3. If D2 dying opens the gateway for D3?? Then perfect, but D3 should've been in development even before the final shape

Besides this there es no clear direction of where the game should go design wise + pivoting was hard due to content pipeline.

Would not be surprised if I was one of the 8, I went in on the guy pretty hard. The numbers is an important conversation that deserves nuance because hot take we do need more people to play the game, but I still disagree with Tassi with his positions on focusing back on Destiny or not knowing how Marathon can pivot. But it is very very clear where his biases land and I think it’s better to acknowledge your own biases (which EVERYONE including me has) when it comes to these conversations.

We're talking about one of the games with the largest and fastest content outputs per year and they consistently have missed revenue targets sincr BL.
