i tried bazzite before cachyos... and it found it very "bad". not that its bad, but the immutable part its bad imo. yeah sure its a dumb down for any1 who just knows how to click on icons, but when you have problems or so... its a mess. i had problems with it after a update like 2 weeks after install... and after 2 days of online stuff it was impossible for me to recover from that. i then swapped to cachyos... and my life its a breeze now, cause i dont have to deal with nps at all. ofc some people can have problems, or need some programs etc... but for my usage... its perfect. Librewolf&brave, thunderbird, discord, obs, steam, heroic games launcher & lutris, libreoffice. Control for my razer stuff, my SB AE5 working with 5.1.

Finally I tried Cachy OS guys No wonder this one is ranking at number one on Distrowatch. This is the peak of perfection. For an average user, this one is complete. You don't have to worry about anything. Just install, reboot and start using! I am afraid even anybody will be able to make something better than this. This is a God level project.

@piyush784066 Linux is not the great, it's actually pretty crappy when it comes to sound quality and games. I say this as have Dual Boot on my System with Cachy OS and Windows 11 Debloated, Win11 Debloated is 1000X better.

Witcher 3 director recently discussed RPG games and said two new titles stand out because they feel fresh and different and take him back to RPG golden era: Crimson Desert and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. He said “I think that this [idea] is growing these days, because when you look at Clair Obscur, or Crimson Desert right now, those games are different. They are not a copy of other AAA games, but delivering something quite fresh. And I’m really glad of it because I’m starting to feel like I did in the 1990s when I played games on my 286 PC, or even on the Atari where every game was a different game. Every game was some unknown.” He said that most games now only focus in make money and are not original, he wants more devs take risks like expedition 33 and games feel new again

I don't know if anyone cares but after being cyberbullied about my weight in my video comments, over the last month I've been trying to average 10k steps a day. Currently I'm down from 98.5kg to 95kg or 217 to 209 freedom units. I need to get back to the gym as well.

As both a lawyer, large breast aficionado, and Asia resident well versed in racial slurs, I’ve never heard: - The word “fish head” ever used IRL - Large breasts referred to be a female speaker as “cannons” This is badly written fan fiction.

@RefractiveENT @IndieBandits Nowadays with steam, just making a good game can be enough yes. The gamers (the true ones) will do the rest dont worry. The gamers will post, will reach streamers, they will boost up your game if they really love it. especially the older ones that are tired of som much bullshit.

Just making a good game is not enough. You definitely need eyeballs on it, posts, influencers, etc. SPECIALLY if its a short single player game. No steam algorithm is going to keep you top of the charts for people to find, if people finish it quickly, even if its amazing. Algorithms run off CCU the most.

Marketing your indie game has to be a combination of well-thought-out strategies, not just one magic solution. What’s the biggest indie marketing myth that people think is a surefire way to sell their indie games? #CelebrateIndies

@Pirat_Nation Has #CachyOS already patched this exploit? When I checked for updates twice, it looks like it updated the Linux kernel both times.

A newly discovered security vulnerability known as Copy Fail, or CVE-2026-31431, has been disclosed in the Linux kernel. It affects virtually every major Linux distribution released since 2017. The flaw sits in the kernel’s cryptographic subsystem and stems from a logic error introduced back in 2017: >It allows any local user without special privileges to escalate directly to root. >The exploit is unusually simple: a short Python script can reliably achieve this by modifying data only in the system’s memory cache rather than on disk. >In practice, an attacker can target any readable file, such as a setuid-root binary like sudo or su, and alter it only in RAM. >The change is invisible to file integrity monitors and leaves no trace on the hard drive. >The same technique also works from inside containers, potentially allowing an escape from Docker, Kubernetes, or similar environments to compromise the host server. >This makes Copy Fail both stealthy and highly portable across systems. Patches have already begun rolling out from major distributors. System administrators should apply the latest kernel updates and reboot as soon as possible.

CachyOS is making Windows look outdated. Latest update adds: • Fingerprint unlock for sudo • Built-in DNS privacy (DoH) • Automatic restore point after install • New simpler package manager • Better hardware detection + performance What this means: • More secure • Faster system • Easier to maintain No ads. No tracking. No forced updates. This is Arch Linux… but without the usual pain. How long before more people switch?
