@saketh1998 @firstockbroking A small clarification on Fintarget: If few of the legs get executed out of the entire strategy, does the individual leg SLs get activated and are there in the system? Also, what happens if the strategy itself also has a loss limit SL though it gets only partially executed ?

Today we had a one day workshop conducted by @firstockbroking We had a wonderful session with 150+ traders joining us. The response was truly overwhelming. The event was originally planned for around 100 participants with invitation, but seeing the interest, we had to increase the seating capacity at the last moment. Thank you all for showing up and making the session so lively. I hope I was able to add some value to your trading journey. Grateful for the enthusiasm and engagement from everyone who attended. We’ll be planning similar sessions in more cities soon, and I look forward to meeting many more of you there.

We are conducting a 1-Day Offline Seminar in Chennai this weekend. In this session, we will be covering in detail how we are trading equities and options for 2026. the exact approach, structure, and thought process we are using in the current market environment. This is a completely free event, as part of the educational initiative from Firstock. However, to truly benefit from what we are sharing, I would strongly recommend attending only if you have a trading capital of ₹10 Lakhs or above. The frameworks discussed will be most relevant for traders operating at that scale. This is a fully structured learning program no random topics, no generic theory. Everything is organized step-by-step with practical implementation. If you are interested, please sign up using the link below. exly.live/o0OPad Seats are limited. Venue: Hotel Ambica Empire, Chennai Date: 07-March-2026 Cost: Free

@adbackup6 Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. Gift Nifty doesn’t reflect possible Nifty movement, though momentum will be against you. Hopefully, not as much though.!

Biggest ever loss loading. April 8th loss took me 3 months to recover with a lot of stress. This gap up, I can't even imagine. It will be bigger than April loss. Usually my positions are lower overnight but due to budget move and adjustments, I dint realise my sizing

Confidence and tax restored. Happy to be back in green… returns isn’t as attractive for FY25 at ~18% but is marked improvement over the last FY. Hoping for a much better FY26. Will try to get to my daily ledger here again :-)

What happens when an IPS trainee from the Tripura cadre smashes a whiskey glass on your head in Delhi, for sadistic pleasure? Here’s the sequence of events: 1.6th December, 10:50 PM: The attack takes place at a wedding venue in Kapashera, Delhi. 2.10:57 PM: A PCR call is made as I’m rushed to the hospital. #punish_rahulbalharaips

Penalty is back. So stay alert. Exchange monitors margins at client level for all brokers. This monitoring is done thru the day basis 5 random snapshots taken at various points of time. At the end of the day, peak margin requirement is compared with the available margin of the client. In case of shortfall in available margin, penalty is levied to the broker for allowing clients to take positions without sufficient margin in place. While brokers err, many a times it is not the fault of the broker. At times clients also do make errors. A few examples- a. Client removes hedge and the naked short position requires more margin than available. b. Limits given basis unclear cheques can lead to a shortfall if cheques bounce. NSE has now issued a circular allowing brokers to debit these penalties to clients in case the penalties have been levied due to the fault of the client. So here is requesting everyone to be careful. Always have buffer margins in account. Don’t stretch to the last penny available. Enclosed the circular for reference👇

@PremSinghvega @Anubhav_Himself @SarangSood I also have been thinking about this !! It just reverses the thought - if you don’t take small losses, you will take the mother of all losses some day soon… Seems taking the mother of all losses (though limited with hedges) is better these days, than taking smaller losses

Hunter algos were triggering SLs with freak moves (injections) in options, without any significant move in the underlying index. So to counter that, smart traders adjusted their systems by placing SLs based on index moves rather than option prices in their systems. So what did the hunter do? It gave freak move in the index itself, thereby creating panic in the option chain.

@SarangSood Given the volumes in the two old established indices, I would think it’s very unlikely…. Other indices are new and comparatively less liquid, which adds to such drastic moves

The biggest injections we've seen so far have been in Sensex & Midcp, followed by Finnifty. Nifty gave a few times, but no massive SL jumps occurred & the intensity of the injection was also less severe. Banknifty is the only index that has been immune to this phenomena so far. It's important to note that an injection is different from a big gamma move. What are your thoughts on whether the same thing could happen in Nifty & Banknifty as well?

@saurabh_fno @EVERHAPPYSHUBHI @yogeshnanda1 Is it possible that if sell position goes to a huge loss because of spikes, broker squares off those and the buy hedge remains which goes back to the original value later after the spike cools off… ? I would assume that the difference in hedges strikes x qty is the max loss.
