One of the most impactful periods of my career was training under Dr. @jacquesmorcosmd as his fellow. He is not just the GOAT in skull base and cerebrovascular #neurosurgery but also one of the most extraordinary human beings I've ever met. His guidance, teaching, and mentorship were profound honors that helped shape who I am—and who I strive to become. I hope to carry forward his legacy with the same dedication and integrity he exemplifies.

At @MyRightToHear, we have established the first #charitable cochlear implant program in #Lebanon, which will serve #children with #hearing loss of all backgrounds: Lebanese, Syrian Refugees, and Palestinian Refugees. The first phase of the program included 10 children, and was great success. All children are now going through speech and hearing rehab to be able to talk after they could hear for the first time. This was a result of our strong collaboration with the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), and the generous support of @TheTradeDesk and @medel.

@MyRightToHear remains the sole organization providing life-changing #hearing treatment to children in #Gaza who have lost their hearing due to the devastating effects of war. Since the war began, we have restored hearing for over 700 #children through hearing aids and replaced external devices. However, we estimate that more than 4000 children have suffered hearing impairment due to loud noises, infections, and trauma, and will need treatment. Our work was made possible through collaborations with @ThePCRF, @UNRWA, and other partners. We are committed to giving these children a voice, a future, and the ability to reconnect with the world around them.

I had the pleasure of joining the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) annual meeting in Washington DC last weekend. On behalf of @MyRightToHear, I announced the plan to build the largest #newborn hearing screening program for #refugees, which will cover all Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan. The project will be in collaboration with SAMS, ASTEMED, @UNRWA, and other partner organizations. #hearingloss #cochlearimplants #children #hearing #hearingaids

Hearing loss among #children in #Lebanon is a growing concern. Studies show that up to 7.4% of preschool children experience significant #hearing loss. Despite the advancements in #cochlear_implant technology, hundreds of children go untreated each year due to lack of #funding.
