Hey @Tataev , my Nexon is in the service center for almost 45 days now for some AC and SOC drop issues, for every 12 months, you guys keep the car for 2 months and the ASC tells not to go below 30% in a car that barely goes 200km in a single charge!! @ExpWithEVs @TeslaClubIN

@ExpWithEVs Exactly, as a customer you have to follow what the OEM says even if its a complete nonsense just like in my case, TML service and TACO folks say to not go below 30% SoC to prevent sudden battery drops and battery problems in a car that barely goes 230km in a charge.

@volklub A 15 year polo also had the same neat design, even integrated the fuel flap into central locking which many brands even now don't do

Skoda Slavia has a very neatly designed fuel cap, with the tie and cap placed under a proper cover with plastic around & no ugly metal area. I’ve noticed that many other brands even cars more expensive than the Slavia, have sharp edges and either no sticker work or poorly finished ones. Personally, I really appreciate this kind of attention to detail, even in such small things.

@Manjunath_Raja I loved the Ameo, with 1.5 TDI + DSG, it was a sleeper. Contrary to popular opinion I found its design to be quite modern and European.

@purohit__anuj And then there are those who claim brake dust as an issue for EVs but not ice 🤦🏻‍♂️. EVs reducing pollution via regen also

Another major advantage of EVs ⚡🚗 is that the brake pads/discs 🛑 are rarely used, as EVs utilize regenerative braking 🔋⚙️—where the motor slows down the car and converts its momentum into electrical energy; hence there is little to no workload on the friction barking system. Here's why that's awesome: 1.✅ Saves brake pads/disc life 🛠️ 2.🔥 Prevents overheating of the brake system, which could otherwise lead to fire 🔥🚫 3.📈 Extends brake component life exponentially 🔧 4.♻️ Recovers energy and charges the battery 🔋 while braking 5.🌱 Reduces brake dust, protecting the environment and helping prevent lung fibrosis 🫁 and carcinogenesis ☠️ 6.💰 Saves money and resources during servicing 🔄🔧 @geekyranjit @volklub @EVZindabad @Shaggy7979 @ferrarirules86 @EVJoints @TorqueIndia @TeslaClubIN @bhardwajshash @shyampsunder youtube.com/shorts/nEsrn5t… via @YouTube

@shreemallatheru Usually ev sedans will have knee up position as the gc will be low and car height will also will be low, and battery has to be placed in the middle. In SUVs this is solved to some extent.

@NithishSabapat1 I'm not talking about Indian products, just around the world, many EV's don't have good thigh support, floor panel is up why?

@shreemallatheru Windsor, 9e has a really good under thigh support compared to the competition, 6e was designed in a sporty way that the seats were intentionally placed low

@NithishSabapat1 So that’s the only difference and compromise like you said, the frunk. Also, despite being built on born EV platforms, many EVs still lack good thigh support, we end up sitting in a knees-up position.

@shreemallatheru This is the limitation i was talking about, in a born ev you won't have this limitation. The development cost due to not being able to reuse old parts is the disadvantage of a skateboard

@NithishSabapat1 Thanks 👍 As far as I heard from past few months, the Harrier RWD has a bigger frunk. Let's wait for the official update on that. What are the disadvantages of skateboard architecture?

@shreemallatheru With a skateboard, the front and rear overhangs can be short, the wheels can be pushed further outside, the reason for resuing the platforms is the development cost!

@NithishSabapat1 What’s the role of wheelbase in a skateboard platform compared to a traditional platform? One more question why are brands adopting towards multi-powertrain platforms instead of dedicated one?

@shreemallatheru Skateboard ia a part of the chassis, subframe is a part of the suspension on which multiple components are mounted

@shreemallatheru Born ev platforms generally refer to the skateboards developed by teslas and even recent mahindras, both have their advantages and disadvantages, In a born ev, one can sqeeze out every inch of space. Example is the frunk Harrier has a 35L frunk and 9e has 150L.

@shreemallatheru The skateboard itself is an integeral part of the chassis, on top of the skateboard you can adopt multiple body sizes. Coming to the frunk, many tesla models have same frunk for both variants

@NithishSabapat1 Thanks👍, How is the skateboard connected to the chassis? The Harrier's frunk you mentioned is in the AWD version, right? What is the frunk size in the RWD Harrier? Also, what’s the difference between a skateboard, a subframe, and a chassis? Very helpful if you can share.

@shreemallatheru Next is the drive train layout flexiblity, easy to put different drive train layouts. A born EV platform can accomodate a bigger battery as in a retrofit, battery has to be designed around the chassis, its the other way around in born ev.

@adityalala2000 @SahibKhandpur Acti.ev is an E&E architecture, not a platform, Born EV doesn't just mean new suspension components, its the packaging of the components to acheive as much space as possible, example here is the windsor. TATA harrier is NOT a born EV, its still a retrofit!

@SahibKhandpur I don’t have anything to say to you if all you are trusting on is AI. It’s not built on the Omega platform at all🤣. This is a brand new platform called the Acti EV + which is skateboard like with flat floor with completely new components parts and suspension .
