Disagreement is part of democracy. Threats, assaults and intimidation are not. @ncri_io's latest report should concern everyone. America cannot function when elected officials, law enforcement officers, judges and prosecutors face rising threats just for doing their jobs.

Political violence has no place in America. The plot to attack the White House UFC event by anti-Israel extremists is a chilling reminder that law enforcement must have the tools and support needed to stop threats before they become tragedies.

The fastest-growing political identity in America isn’t Republican or Democrat. It’s independent. That should be a wake-up call to Washington. The country is hungry for leaders who reject the extremes, work across party lines and focus on the issues that actually matter.

Foreign investment can benefit America. But @JSchanzer and @NatalieEcanow of @FDD told a No Labels call this week that Qatar’s spending raises a harder question: When a foreign government with ties to Hamas and other extremist actors pours money into U.S. institutions, is it investment – or influence buying?
