Hi - thanks. I know it can be frustrating. Imperfect system. More can be done, for sure. But will note that we block billions of bots every month, millions of signup attempts. Can do more. But the notion that "you were beaten by bots" is speculative, could simply be high demand. And the complexity runs far deeper than "you ruined ticketing" or "ban resale". I greatly appreciate you engaging in that complexity with me instead of just attacking (which is the more common mode). Thank you.

@saumil @Ticketmaster With respect, you’re the executive and I’m just the guy who’s been beat out by bots for the last four Ticketmaster shows that I’ve tried to attend. Ticketmaster should find the solution that puts tickets in the hands of fans. Are you saying that nothing can be done?

@saumil @Ticketmaster I appreciate your willingness to engage. The ask is simple. Ban resale. If you can’t attend the ticket goes back to Ticketmaster and to the next person on the wait list. Fans of music should be able to buy tickets to artists without competing with bots and getting fleeced.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I think Ticketmaster might -- just *might* -- have a problem with bots. I had no trouble getting tickets to the same band at an even smaller venue when it had its own ticketing system.

The state shark designation was added to a bill that also commemorates Purple Lights Night, in honor of domestic violence survivors, and designates the Natural History Society of Maryland as the state’s natural sciences museum. The legislation, SB 35, now heads to Moore’s desk.
