This is another formality intended to jam-up otherwise law abiding gun owners. Such laws have a chilling effect on gun ownership because people aren't clear about them and to avoid running afoul of said law(s), folks opt not to exercise their rights.

There is a good chance that when they come to deport hardened criminals here illegally, they will find both foreign AND American children who are being trafficked - for sex, labor or both.
