I know it’s impossible to get a ticket but why can’t teams charge for food or drinks like the Masters does? One of the most historical events ever charging $8.00 for beer and a chicken sandwich at most when a team 45 games under .500 charging you $54. Make it make sense. Make going to a sporting event affordable

@tedgangi Yeah & imagine if Congress was just this dysfunctional and couldn’t pass a bill to fund its operations and rail employees had to work without getting paid. Because that is what is happening at the airports-we aren’t paying the TSA agents and they aren’t showing up.

Even if SMU had been “snubbed” I would’ve had a hard time summoning any tears. The last teams in and every team out were firmly in the “you played with fire, you get what you get” category for me. No bracket crimes were committed, nobody deserving was excluded. No expansion pls.

I asked the question and that was the answer the commissioner gave. Nobody got screwed here as it's always close but Auburn was better than SMU in 5 out of 7 metrics and the number and quality wins aren't even close. AU beat 3 Power 5 Conference Champs! SMU OOCSOS 191 AUBURN 16

@Genetics56 They added women’s sports because Title IX says to comply you have to show progress towards gender balance & when football was taking 85 men’s scholarships, the only way to move the needle was to cut men’s sports or add women’s.

PSA: The problem with college athletics is not structural. It's expense management. A lot of P4 schools added too many sports when expenses were lower. Now they are over extended. When you have inbalance of expense vs revenue, it creates an impulse of wanting a handout.

Conference USA filed today a response to Louisiana Tech’s lawsuit, asking a Louisiana judge for a hearing while making an intriguing argument: CUSA says granting an immediate injunction would mean that Tech’s games in the CUSA basketball tournament tomorrow couldn’t be broadcast.
