Watching this is heartwarming. And by most accounts Jay was a beloved figure in Seattle baseball. Here's a funny thing though. Of all the athletes I've ever covered Jay was one of maybe only two or three who ever got mad at me. I was coverinfg baseball for Sportscaster on @espn. I was interviewing him & asked what I thought was a fairly benign question but he took exception & yelled at me in the middle of the clubhouse. I still have not figured out what happened.

Most. Yes sharpe a better backup than most, but Claxton a better starter than most. Teams with a starter more than a bit better than Claxton, have a better center rotation on that alone - and that’s many teams

@brooklynsbeat I think most players don't care. But I believe that there are some who care deeply. If one of those players happens to be a star, that team is not going to have an openly homosexual player. Funny thing is they're more likely to pass judgement on that than on Miles Bridges. Weird.

I don’t think players really care, they just want to win. If a player helps them then, they want the player around, not passing judgment on their personal life (no reason to pass judgment either, for many reasons)
