@kevin_nealon Still won’t be as good as every other DAP if it doesn’t do flac/dsd and balanced out. Outside i wish they’d make anything for music besides speakers and headphones

@walden @smug_diva @MaxPatten @Carlisert @LinusTech lol right? Every pro software got like 1000x better
English

@smug_diva @MaxPatten @Carlisert @LinusTech Those handful of companies included much of the software that people use, like the Adobe suite, MS Office, etc.
M1 rocked from the start.
English

This @LinusTech take has aged hilariously bad. Thanks YouTube algo for resurfacing it in my recommendations.

English

@MaxPatten @Carlisert @LinusTech My day 1 m1 max barely even hiccups running many many taxing apps both in processing and creation. I’m actually shocked cuz for the first 3 years i barely used it when i had a work computer too
English

@Carlisert @LinusTech and he was wrong? apple silicon was amazing in the Mac from day one
English

@helloalzea @samz_syd @icanvardar Like every haggardly dressed person thinking they know what style is. It’s embarrassing cuz they’re being enabled by each other but popular rarely means anything good
English

@samz_syd @icanvardar "90% of designer aren't great blablabla"
Why always non-designer who has a dumb take on How Designers Work.
English

@matt_teeixeira @dominikmartn Design is dead not cuz it’s being replaced but it’s being made to lowest common denominator. Good from a far, far from being good, etc
English

@dominikmartn Too much vibe design.
Everyone there is hooked and addicted to shipping - too much.
English

@100xGill @dominikmartn Ui is functionality. Not being able to read, interact or understand what someone is looking at is a huge functionality issue.
English

@mr4567890123 @Pinsky The person who is doing that is not any professional photographers real bread and butter.
English

@Pinsky The same thing has been happening to photographers over the past few years. They’re losing customers because people can now generate AI images themselves. Yes, the results may not be original, unique, or organic, but many don’t care. Even losing 10% of your income is a problem.
English

"Figma is cooked!"
Yeah, no.
I've been seeing a growing number of these posts lately. I have many thoughts, but I'll keep it short.
AI can absolutely generate beautiful designs. But then what?
Specialized tools will still be needed to go further: build design systems, inject uniqueness, and stand out from the wave of generic experiences that are about to hit.
I speak to a LOT of teams and designers daily. Despite what these doomsday posts claim, they’re not all rushing to ditch their tools. They’re integrating these new capabilities into existing workflows to move faster.
AI will reshape design workflows, but it won’t replace the tools behind them.
It will make them more essential.

@ivbobrov @lucas__crespo The stock market has enabled scams for decades now. If you can con or align holders you can sell the worst product and have a high ipo. This is just another gold rush… people are doing it all now and cashing out
English

@lucas__crespo This whole system is scam and manipulations, it’s pretty obvious nowadays.
English

@viralvora_ @lucas__crespo More expensive? More exclusive? I know I’m not even remotely off base and no it’s not going to save anything cost wise if others are at same speed or more.
English

@lucas__crespo This is the first version of Claude design. Imagine what it will be in 6-12 months.
English

@kareem_carr Just like any other pay to play. Your true skill is how much you can spend.
English

so let me see if i got this AI stuff straight:
- you pay to experiment with the models
- you pay to automate your business workflows
- you pay to validate the outputs of said workflows
- you pay to detect any silent downgrades in the model
- you pay to update your workflows
- you pay to revalidate your workflow outputs
- you pay to do it all again every time there's a major model update
- you pay 10x all that when they finally stop subsidizing the models and you have to pay the real price
- also you don't even get any business advantage out of it because literally anybody can pay for the exact same AI you can
i'm no business genius but this sounds like a terrible business model for everybody except the AI companies.
English

@madebytreV @Levidjones “Claude just killed productivity” seriously it can save me like a a day or two but it also only works every 3-5? And I’m not doing anything crazy
English

@Levidjones Bit of a letdown that design generations are capped on the Pro plan — runs out fast.
English

@ChrisMTse @wesbos That’s the thing… and all the social rejects screaming the same “skills issue”… yeah really good product design.. users love having to learn a new way to do the things they used to in more complex inconsistent ways.
English

@IPNetGeek @paularambles It’s corporate money laundering with hoops. All agreements to incentivize a few at the top. Forcing scenarios to justify. The problem with every tech breakthrough and why it stalls are people that most push it to the extreme in monetizing
English

@paularambles Another case of "no one asked for this". Much like "Copilot" everywhere. I'm not anti-AI, but AI needs to be in places where it belongs, where it can help you do things you DON'T WANT TO DO, and make your life easier. This is performative.
English

@mathunger @varunram Everyone’s lying and feigning fake shock and hyperbole for and against… cuz the grift. Clickbait is now a revenue stream for everyone out there. Claude killed this, so and so said that. There’s no way to discern truth unless you saw it and can cite it yourself
English

@RossXhq @masonwarner Cuz Claude pays well. They are known to have been paying people to post since last fall.
English

@masonwarner Haven’t tried it yet but yea I’m seeing people talk about it alot
English

@virgilhoops @masonwarner For the masses- they want anyone to be able to use it for their 1 off small projects. Stacking a whole product out of this would be horrible. I like Figma Make cuz it actually outputs assets you can actually use and not just lose
English

@masonwarner i just don’t understand why they’re taking this approach with design tools.
English

@rezaul_arif @masonwarner Like everything AI they don’t want pro scalable usage, they want the lowest denominator to feed mass audience who rib chat interface is favorable. This is not going to effect figma or abobe, maybe Canva like users.
English

@masonwarner rn it’s more demo than tool tbh, needs a lot and lot of iteration to be usable at peak
English

@Justin_Halford_ @joshcrnls Yeah if you wait long enough anything can be true. The reality is it maxes out at plan after a few prompts.
English

can someone explain to me why everyone thinks an ai lab made up entirely of engineers is going to build a better design product than a company who has lived and breathed the needs of designers for a decade
