For anyone still in that discord:
This wasn’t written by a “longtime friend.” It was written by their family member…. Marlena’s aunt, Sherry, who was one of the loudest voices in that Discord encouraging everyone to trust the process and keep averaging into losing positions. Not just Monday but every single day this week.
You’re right about one thing, Sherry. After the last few days, I probably could use a therapist.
Between taking care of my mom while she’s been in the hospital, raising two little boys, homeschooling my oldest, running my own business, and trying to rebuild my life, I was in a vulnerable place when you all reached out offering to “help.”
I believed your intentions were genuine. That’s on me.
What hurts isn’t just the money. It’s realizing that the people I trusted with my confidence made one of the hardest weeks of my life even harder.
I’ve owned every trade I took. I pushed every buy button myself. But I also know what I experienced, and I won’t be gaslit into believing otherwise.
If sharing my experience makes me “emotional,” so be it. I’d rather be honest than pretend everything is fine.
I’m walking away with one lesson: never hand your trust to strangers just because they sound confident.

I’ve been quiet for the past couple of days. Not because I was trying to disappear, but because I was embarrassed and carrying around a lot of shame.
I owe you an honest account of what happened, and then I’ll let you form your own opinions.
About a month ago, a girl named Marlena reached out to me after one of my viral loss posts. She said her boyfriend “Ty” was an experienced trader who had made millions in the market and wanted to help me because they felt bad watching me struggle. Looking back, I know how ridiculous that sounds, but at the time I was desperate to find someone who could help me break the cycle of losing.
We started talking on the phone. A lot of what we discussed was trading psychology and discipline. Honestly, it wasn’t groundbreaking information. It was fundamentals I already knew but needed to revisit. For a few weeks we traded one-on-one. I was still taking my own entries, but he encouraged me to stay in winning trades longer instead of scalping out early. That part genuinely seemed to help.
Eventually he invited me into his Discord. At first there were only six members, most of whom appeared to be family or close friends. Around that same time, someone messaged me claiming to be the wife of a man who had worked with him at Merrill Lynch for years. The message reinforced the idea that he was successful, wealthy, and genuinely wanted to help people. Whether that was true or not, it added to the trust I had already built.
Then I made the biggest mistake.
I shared his Discord with all of you.
That decision helped grow his platform, and I deeply regret it. Even if it was only a $20 Discord, I understand that $20 is a lot of money to many people. I feel responsible for introducing some of you to something that may have ultimately hurt you.
Monday was the breaking point.
At the open, everyone was urged into puts and encouraged to continue averaging down throughout the day. Around 10:45, my own indicators and trading system were telling me the market was trying to reverse. I even spoke up and said our bias needed to change and that we should be looking at calls instead.
That should have been the moment I trusted myself.
Instead, I ignored my own system.
A few hours later I privately texted him because I was uncomfortable with the positions. He told me to take a walk, stop stressing, and assured me that once a certain level broke the market would tank. He was incredibly confident.
It never happened.
By the end of the day, countless people had averaged down into losing positions. My accounts were essentially blown up. By that point, though, his platform had already grown to nearly 100 Discord members and hundreds of new followers.
What hurt even more was seeing him announce a new $100 challenge shortly afterward. Many of the concepts, rules, and educational ideas looked incredibly familiar because they were things I had openly shared with him over weeks of conversations about my own long-term goals. One day I hoped to build a free community where people could learn to rebuild small accounts without paying for access.
That part stung.
Not because anyone owns the idea of a $100 challenge, but because I felt like someone I trusted had taken pieces of something I had dreamed about building myself.
Over the last couple of days I’ve also heard from several people who described similar experiences: being encouraged into contrarian trades, being told not to use stop losses, and being urged to continue averaging down losing positions.
I can’t verify every story, so I’ll simply say this: please do your own due diligence. Never blindly trust anyone online, including me.
I also want to apologize.
This page has always been built on transparency. I have shared my wins, my losses, and every lesson in between. I never intentionally wanted to lead anyone down a path that could hurt them financially. If you joined because I shared it, I’m truly sorry.
The good news is this isn’t where my story ends.
