@GrantSlatton Had this happen. Supposedly had 6 cavities, and I had to schedule 6 appt on Separate days. Then they said I needed a deep clean. I went in, and they only did HALF my mouth. Told me to make an appointment for the other half. New dentist said 2 cavities & no deep clean needed 🤦🏽‍♀️

insane that we tolerate living in a society where you can go see one dentist and he's like "ya u have 13 cavities, will be $4000 to fix them all" then see another and he's like "that guy was full of shit and trying to scam you, you're fine" ???

Think about it. When your pet walks in from another room just to find you, that means they were somewhere else for a moment… and decided to come see you. In their own simple way, their little brain thought about you. They wondered where you were, what you were doing, and they came looking for you. They didn’t need anything. They just wanted to be near you. That’s love in its purest form. Quiet, loyal, and completely unconditional.

I saw a woman on TikTok say she was a “good girl” her whole life. Did everything the “right” way. Followed the rules. Kept the peace. Put everyone else first. Now she’s in her 40s and said all she feels like she has to show for it is grief and a lot of built-up anger. And honestly… as a woman in her 20s, I felt that deeply . Because nobody really talks about how being the “good girl” often benefits everyone around you… except the actual good girl. Everyone else gets the patience, the understanding, the sacrifice. And she’s the one left realizing she spent years shrinking herself just to keep everyone else comfortable.

We do not talk enough about how many women stop enjoying their birthdays while they’re married. Not because they “don’t care about getting older,” but because the day becomes one more emotional obstacle course to manage. She is not waking up wondering what cake she wants or how she wants to feel; she is scanning the room, reading his mood, lowering her expectations before breakfast. By the time the candles come out, she has already spent the day protecting herself from disappointment

This is wild. 143 million people thought they were catching Pokémon. They were actually building one of the largest real-world visual datasets in AI history. Niantic just disclosed that photos and AR scans collected through Pokémon Go have produced a dataset of over 30 billion real-world images. The company is now using that data to power visual navigation AI for delivery robots. Players didn't just walk around with their phones. They scanned landmarks, storefronts, parks, and sidewalks from every angle, at every time of day, in lighting and weather conditions that staged photography would never capture. They documented the physical world at a scale no mapping company with a fleet of vehicles could have replicated on the same timeline or budget. Niantic collected this systematically, data point by data point, across eight years, while users thought the only thing at stake was catching a rare Charizard. The most valuable AI training datasets in the world aren't being assembled in data centers. They're being built by people who have no idea they're building them.

Once I read this thing where a woman said that she will not read any books on productivity, time management, habits or how to live the best life if they're written by men because they were able to manage that time or build those life changing habits because they HAD A WIFE. Instead, this person said they would only read female-authored books on that subject--moms or wives that did the laundry, worked, and still got stuff done. I think about that a lot.

A both funny and educational meme. Let me explain: In the first panel, Joey is excited because the hotel’s “free Wi-Fi” is extremely fast. Anyone who has stayed in hotels knows their Wi-Fi is usually slow, overloaded, and frustrating. So when a connection suddenly feels blazing fast, it feels like you got lucky. In the second panel, Joey checks his device and notices his IP address starts with 172.16.42.x. His expression instantly changes to shock — because that number means something very specific in cybersecurity. That IP range is the well-known default network configuration used by a device called a WiFi Pineapple. A WiFi Pineapple is a portable penetration-testing tool that attackers can use to create rogue Wi-Fi access points. It can imitate legitimate networks … like a hotel’s Wi-Fi and trick nearby devices into connecting to it instead of the real network. Once your device connects, the attacker effectively becomes the network in the middle, allowing them to observe or manipulate traffic passing through it. This is a classic Man in the Middle (MitM) attack. The reason the connection feels “fast” is simple: you’re probably one of the few people connected to it, and the attacker is letting your traffic pass through so they can monitor it. So if you ever connect to public Wi-Fi and notice an IP address like 172.16.42.x, there’s a good chance you’re not actually on the hotel’s network…. you might be connected to a rogue hotspot controlled by someone else.

First time I brought groceries without checking my account first.I sat in the parking lot and cried. because i remember every time my mom stood in the aisle doing quite math in her head, putting things back without explanation choosing the smaller size. skipping the thing she wanted so the cart could have what we needed. I remember in the specific silence of not enough. And now I’m sitting in the parking lot with bags in the back and the balance that didn’t require prayers. Nobody tells you about this part of making it. The guilt, the grief the strange sadness of getting what you always wanted and feeling like you left someone behind in the wanting. like success is a room you walked into alone and everything you came from is standing outside the door. I call my mom more now send money when I can buy the thing she would have put back not to fix the Past because I know now what it cost her. every skipped meal, every wornout pair of shoes, every "I am fine" that wasn’t fine she poured out everything so I could be full. The least I can do is make sure she finally is too

major cheat code in life: be the one who reaches out. text first. call first. plan first. initialize first. most people wait to be chosen. be the chooser. connection requires initiative. friendship requires effort. love requires action. stop waiting to be picked. start picking. initiative is attractive.
