"Scientists don't want you to know this" What? Have you ever met a scientist? This is like saying chefs don't want you to taste their food. They are desperate for you to be informed, they will often give you information for free, to walk you through your misunderstandings.

Screen time is a distraction. SARS-CoV-2 causes real neurological damage. One messes with focus, the other harms brain function. Don’t confuse a habit with a biological injury. Suggesting that screen time is the main culprit is not just implausible, it’s scientifically absurd.

This is a great example of a particular kind of sophistry common to MDs: it assumes that their knowledge of biology is complete - it never even occurs to them that perhaps there are tests *that haven't been invented yet* that could show a major difference. They know all things.
David Clarke, MD@daveclarkemd

There are people right now lying in bed, unable to work, unable to play with their kids, unable to live their lives. Their scans are clean. Their labs are normal. And they’ve been told, directly or indirectly, that it must be in their head. Let’s talk about what’s really happening.

Your body doesn’t need to be damaged for your brain to produce pain. This is one of the most important discoveries in modern pain science. The brain constructs pain based on stress, trauma, emotions, and other challenges, not just actual injury. If the brain believes you’re in danger, whether from physical, emotional, or psychological issues, it can generate pain as an expression of distress. The pain is 100% real. The damage is not required.

1/ Finally I can share this : I propose the investigation of Fucoidan (LMWF) using a RCT for the amelioration of Post Exertional Malaise -and possibly of other symptoms- of #MECFS and related syndromes. Here is why (make sure you read Disclaimer at end of thread) :

Rutin has a long history of (sometimes controversial) use for correction or prevention of endothelial damage. This has previously focused on the Vitamin P activity (defined as anti-hyluronidase), but Rutin does also prevent over activation of TRPV4.
Annals of Surgery@AnnalsofSurgery

Endothelial calcium influx plays a key role in trauma-induced permeability 🩸⚡. This study finds that blocking the TRPV4 channel reduces endothelial leak and may help prevent organ dysfunction after severe injury. A potential target for trauma therapy. journals.lww.com/annalsofsurger…
