If it’s not that important, then I’m sure the boys won’t care when they are told no the team is for girls.
If it is a big deal for these poor boys to make a team, then I’m sure we can tell a boy on the boy’s varsity team to sit out and give his spot to the boy who feels left out. I mean, that’s what they are asking the girls to do, right?

Did she start out with a genuine concern for women’s rights when it comes to e.g. prisons and sports? Sure, I can believe that. I have concerns there too.
At this point though, she has been completely captured by abject hatred of trans women, a tiny minority of people who do not threaten women’s rights in any meaningful way.
Yes, trans women suffer from misogyny. If anything, trans women are seen as less than women. A fair target for ridicule and discrimination, by men and (some) women alike. And some of those women absolutely delight in beating up on trans women. After all, in their eyes, trans women are just men. A type of men they can denigrate without consequences, and rather even with the explicit support and encouragement of the *actually patriarchal* men in their lives.

@dilanesper It’s not bigotry to correctly identify a person’s sex. This insistence on twisting reality will be the downfall of trans ideology. Normal, sane people might think men can call themselves women if they want, but most people won’t accept being forced to lie about obvious facts.

i agree that Rowling has clearly shifted from her original "identify how you want but don't infringe on the rights of others" position to deliberately calling trans women "men" and it is worth calling out.

There’s a lot not fair about sports. Some kids are poor & can’t afford proper equipment. Some kids are built like 27 year olds. Some kids get professional-level training while some are goofing around after school. Some teams have more scholarship athletes. Who cares about fair?
